Oh, my goodness!…read more Sure, he sounds like a Bond Villain, and any villainy ends with his name. (I couldn't decide between those two tag lines.) I needed to have a tooth pulled and an implant installed. That seemed both simple and potentially painful. I chose Dr. Oh because my dentist told me to, and I am very grateful for that recommendation. It took less than an hour between me walking in and leaving with all the work completed. During the procedure, there was absolutely no pain and almost no discomfort. The dentist worked slowly and carefully to extract my tooth. That is in sharp contrast from my last and only other extraction that was done by a big Swedish oral surgeon in DC who used, among other tools, a hammer and chisel. The office is clean and open. Their building has plenty of covered parking around back. The only problem is the buildings are out of order, and Dr. Oh's is set back from the street. Look for large signs along Maple Ave to direct you where to turn in. I can't imagine I'll ever look forward to having another tooth pulled. However, if I ever need to, I'm going back to Dr. Oh to have it done.

Pros: Extremely quick, in and out. I walked in the door, filled out paperwork, got brought back, received general anesthesia, had the procedure done (4 wisdom teeth extracted), woke up, paid for the appointment, and walked out the door, all in an hour. I was extremely nervous about the anesthesia, so to know I wasn't under very long was so reassuring. Dr. Liu truly is quick and efficient. He does this so often, he could probably do it with his eyes closed. Luckily for me, insurance had gotten back to them in time so what would have been a down payment of $1,400, was only about $800. They gave me a follow up call later same day of the operation to check on me which I thought was nice. Cons: Consultation was rushed and you definitely wonder, "did they even look at my X-ray?". Dr. Liu and team are very much "wisdom teeth are useless so let's just remove them all", even if not necessary. The assistant said he performs about 20 extractions a week, so I imagine he may use a blanket statement of "let's just remove them all because you're asleep and it will prevent issues down the road", but could save you money and pain upfront if that's a big concern of yours. As I was waking up from my procedure, Dr Liu came to check on me and was there for all of 30sec before he ran off. Overall, I'd recommend Dr Liu and the team here. Are they going to take their time to evaluate you and hold your hand, no. But they do a good and fast job. The other assistant and doctor were very pushy for me to get an implant and it wasn't in my budget. They seemed annoyed that I couldn't do it.
