This is my pre-Sangeet Yelp Review!…read more I have heard so much about Frontier Heritage because I work in the wedding circuit and assist with day-of Indian weddings. What is funny and very "it's a small world" is the owners' son Tanmay had his wedding at the same day I was servicing another wedding and his wedding was the one with the working air conditioning, so a lot of the wedding guests crashed his! Back to the review and no more side track stories... Speaking of Tanmay, who manages Frontier Heritage -- I met him at the South Asian Bridal Show this year at The Westin Anaheim Resort. I started to email him right away because I was most excited about choosing my lehenga for my Sangeet. I had one main inspo photo in mind -- it was a lavender with silver accents of florals in an elaborate design. I brought it to my consultation and showed it to Masuma, who is one of their retail attendants. She seriously was gooooood... the first lehenga she grabbed was it! That was my Sangeet dress!! After a few months, I was called back in because it finally arrived from India. The fitting went so well and efficiently. I mean it makes sense since they take every possible measurement on the consultation day. The only part I needed to alter were my sleeves, which needed to be taken in and a part of my backing. Since I was there, I had to look into jewelry. Since my fiance and I are doing a nod to The Lord of the Rings, I already had my main necklace picked out -- Arwen's Evenstar. I needed silver bangles to go with everything and of course I find the perfect pair. TMI side note -- I have large hands so I was worried they were not going to have my size. Surprisingly, they had some. The third trip back was the last fitting and it looked and felt great. The lavender lehenga was mine and I took her home! I am so happy with my overall pre-Sangeet experience. Tanmay and Masuma made it so seamless! (Quick Shout Out: Thank you, Tanmay for keeping up with all my emails lol. Cannot wait for my Sangeet in November!!)

That being said, this is a smaller studio so they didn't have that many dresses to try on. Not a bad studio at all, and the prices were within my budget, I just wish they had more to try on. I also liked the natural light and how well you could see the dresses on you.

She comes with vision because of her designer background but also because she truly wants you to feel and look your best on your big day. Her suggestion to add a lace trim to my bodice ended up being the perfect addition to my dress, and I can't thank her enough for that. Her energy and humor also made every conversation during every fitting so enjoyable. I had a semi-tight timeline because I started the process kind of late (so, my fault), AND I was flying out for my wedding, but she was so understanding and kept that timeline in mind the entire time. One other thing I really appreciated was that she took video notes during fittings so she can review and know exactly what we talked about/what needed to be worked on. Highly recommend!

This was by far the most stressful part of wedding preparation. Maria was one of the recommended…read moretailors from my dress shop. I had my first appointment with Maria on April 19th, 2026. Her quote was a bit high for the work that was needed (there wasn't much to be done), but I trusted what all the other reviews said and decided to go with her. She was also very personable during the appointment so I felt comfortable moving forward - she required full payment at the first appointment. My second appointment was supposed to be May 24. She cancelled a couple of days before and said she would reach out to reschedule. When I didn't hear from her, I texted her to see when she would be able to reschedule. She suggested June 20...which was almost a month later than we were supposed to meet. I pushed back and said I would feel comfortable meeting no later than June 7 - I even offered to come on a weekday if that worked better for her. Miraculously, she had June 7 available,. I had a gut feeling before the appointment that no work had been done, and I was correct. At that appointment, she just put me in the dress again and stuck some more pins in there. She assured me that the dress would be done at the next fitting on July 3. When I got there, there were a few things that I wasn't completely happy with, so she said she could fix it there on the spot...she told me that it would take about 30 minutes - so I just walked around Beverly Hills for that time. After about 45 minutes, I came back to the salon, and texted her that I was there (her office is in the back). Well, she came out about 10 minutes later with another bride! In that time when she was "working" on my dress, she met with another bride for her fitting! I was so frustrated and angry, and she could tell. She asked me if I wanted to try it on again...um yes of course I do. Overall she did an okay job for the dress, but I wish I would have gone somewhere else where they were more respectful of time and professional.
