The arena is in a very unique location and can be hard to find without a GPS. The back of the chairs were dusty. Some of the chairs were padded. Overall a good place for needing large space.

At about 5,000 capacity, it's a quarter of the size of its next-door companion facility, Kemper Arena. It's mostly used for livestock competitions of all varieties: rodeo, cutting horse, &c. -- as well as the exalted American Royal BBQ competition that occurs annually in October. Seats in the arena are bleachers, not very comfortable, but at least they have backs on the benches. There's a very nice little museum to the right of the entrance, worth a stroll through to see old photos & artifacts of the glory days of the stockyards & rodeos, as well as some cheesy-but-fun interactive exhibits for the little kids. I checked in at the Pro Shop, where a kind employee let me know that the tour guide would collect my ticket and had not arrived yet. My guide was Blake, who seemed to have a long history with the team, possibly as a player, Red Coat, or longtime employee. He was fantastic: knowledgeable, happy to answer questions, and always willing to help take photos. The tour included the museum, locker room, press room, field, a suite, and the suite level. Afterward, we could shop in the team store and receive a 15% discount on everything except sunglasses. Overall, this was a great experience and easily one of the highlights of my limited time in Kansas City. I highly recommend it to any Chiefs or football fan visiting the area. Plenty of yummy eats to try. We love BBQ so Chef J is always a stop for us at the stadium. Loaded tots are so delightful. We also grab a souvenir cup every time and I love the new plastic lids that keep spills and bugs from your drink. The drink holders in the seats in front are great! I love all the local to KC food options. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained. I wish there were some hand sanitizers available too. We visited the hall of fame hallway and pro shop this in itself is a cool experience. There are plenty of photo op places near there including a giant Arrowhead. The Chiefs cheerleaders are so sweet but I wish there were more crowd interactions with them and KC Wolf . Games or chances to win merchandise etc like they do at the Royals.

Brisket, sauce, and onion rings on a bun. Very good. Multiple beers on sale from local brewery Boulevard, which I appreciated. The team museum in the outfield has some nice items to see, too, I recommend spending some time there before the game. The only downside here is the location. It is in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but parking lot. It is one of the least accessible stadiums in baseball - of the 23 I have visited, it is probably the second most inconvenient to get to behind only Miami's.

Taxi leaving the premises is also complicated, Lyft and Ubers were redirected and not allowed in for a while, so we walked outside to the gas station ( no side walks) and there we could find one. Fix that pls Its right next to the KC Chiefs Football stadium. We walked the entire park in about 30 minutes, stopping every where and its not as packed as City field or Yankee Stadium but its pretty, its clean and tons of friendly staff to help navigate it. Entered in gate A for the Royals jersey giveaway. I love that you were able to go on to Little K to exchange for bigger sizes (S-3XL) I love this size inclusiveness. Our group purchased the ladies night theme ticket so we also got the wristlet . Cute. Vendors were set up all along the outside path. Jewelry, earrings, skincare, Photo Bus, Graceland Nursing program(by far my fav giveaway booth). I made my way to get a new souvenir cup. I was disappointed that the soda machine and ice was down at the particular location outside gate B and I had to go to another location. Not a horrible but inconvenient. I think it would be nice to have a staff member outside the Ladles Night light display to take pics even for just the first hour so you don't have to stop random people to take your group picture. Our seats were in the upper level all together. Right behind home plate and the perfect seats for us. Not too far up from the entrance and perfect view! We wanted to try out the Rum drink inside the cute little igloo glass. We decorated it with our cute little people but the glass was just as cute without. Strawberry rum was by far our fav choice of all. I love that you can take in 1 water bottle and snacks that fit in a clear ziploc bag. How family friendly cost saving is that! We also purchased popcorn, pretzels and dipping dots. There are so many food choices and many are kiosks of well known KC restaurants. Chef J is my fav BBQ place. The Crown store was running a special so it was quite crowded but still were able to get in and out fairly quickly. I think the prices are a little higher than what you can find at outside stores but the variety and selection outstanding. Definitely will find something for a Royals fan. Fans and shaded areas everywhere if you get too hot in your seats. Most evening games are just the right temperature. Ushers are quick to keep the breezeways clear but I think taking a quick pic is not asking too much but they can be quite serious about not even for a pic can you stop there. The scoreboard, fountains, and backgrounds are just beautiful. I can remember this being a KC tradition growing up and they have just modernized it. Very family friendly games that are interactive throughout the game.

It took over two decades, and my brother and I came out to finalize this quest. The ballpark is in the middle of nowhere and is next door to the Chiefs football stadium. Although the park is very old, it was clean and appeared modern. They kept everything in good shape. Signage was good, the concourses were open, and seeing the fountains and waterfalls in the outfield was very pleasant. As you walk around the ballpark, there's a lot for families to do with their kids behind the outfield. Concessions for the most part were like any other ballpark fare. Prices were high, too. However, there were multiple free COLD water stations available. You can also bring your own food in and water (up to one liter) in a clear bag. I did buy a milkshake. The staffer did not know what a black and white was! If you don't know either, it's chocolate and vanilla together to make the shake. Very tasty. We liked the place and since the Phillies lost on Friday, we decided to come Saturday where they beat the bejeezus out of the Royals. One of JT Realmuto's home runs landed in the water in front of our section. Couldn't reach the ball, and if we tried to go in, then it's off to jail we go. We had to deal with some friendly ribbing, but not like in Philadelphia for other fans. When we purchased our tickets for Saturday, one of the volunteers overheard us talking about where to stand, and he was nice enough to check and said once the game started we could sit in a section where there were a lot of empty seats and pointed out specifically where to go. We got a row all to ourselves and we're able to give ourselves some room. The seats are not really meant for big guys. The largest video screen in baseball is set vertically with Roman column lighting behind. Didn't like it. Also did not care for having a large putting green in front of the video board. Visually unappealing especially with the beautiful water fountains and falls off each side. Overall, we had a great time at Kauffman Park and happy we went to the second game because we pulled off a win.

One downside is how expensive the food and merchandise is. I think the prices are crazy! Also the security wasn't super friendly when my bag was slightly over the size. The website says it's twice as many lights than in previous years - and that seems accurate from looking at the pictures. I really appreciated the quick responses. We needed to add on a third car since one of our family members caught covid - but our time slot was sold out on the website. They told us we could purchase a time slot a little later but use the ticket for the earlier time slot with our other two reservations. We were really grateful to be able to do that. We paid a $20 entry fee for our car, and some goes to charity, so no complaints about the pricing when I know it's going to a good cause. Our complaints are really just about the experience itself. We waited for about an hour and 20 minutes just to be able to show our tickets. By then we were super thirsty and wanted to pull off to the cute snack shack to buy water, but we'd been waiting for so long and figured it would be a long trip through the park. It was getting really late so we just wanted to get on with it. Well the lights themselves were pretty cool And though it was put to music, there were really only two small sections where the lights actually moved to the music. I figured there would be more moving displays to go along with the music. Most of the displays were stationary. After we had heard about two songs on the special radio station we tuned into, we rounded a corner and started to exit the park. In disbelief, I started looking around thinking we had made a wrong turn somewhere, although that would've been impossible because we were in one long line of cars. So it literally only took us about seven minutes to drive through the whole thing, and that was going about 4 miles an hour. After waiting as long as we had, we were all really disappointed that the display was so short. I was expecting it was going to be like light displays I've seen in the past, for example the one around Longview Lake. This one was just a much shorter. I suppose if you went during the week and didn't have to wait to get in, it would be a fun thing to do after dark, but I would most certainly avoid the weekends! And just know it will be a very short experience.

KCMPT is an African American theatre company and puts on thought provoking pieces. JOB also has many other local groups that stage productions there ( music, dance, spoken word... ). The theater is open seating, but it's "in the round." The seating is on risers around the stage, so there isn't a bad view in the house! The theater is in Penn Valley park, just north of Indigo Wild. There is a parking lot on the south side of the building.

It's one of my favorite plays. With a cast of two, it's a big load for the actors. They were wonderful!! Both of them were lovely and did this fine work great justice. Wednesday and Thursday are "Community Pricing" nights so the tickets are $10 cheaper. That's great on the wallet. The theater is very nice and professional. The set was fantastic! Wardrobe and makeup were spot on. I am very impressed and grateful I made it to see this show before the end of the run.
