They call themselves Game Time Tavern and Pizzeria. And since I had an appointment with my cardiologist today and that always makes me hungry. I stopped in on the way out of the appointment and ordered me up one of their pizzas. The pizza that I ordered is called the Game Time and that comes with house marinara, fresh Mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, beef, onion, green pepper, and mushrooms! The crust is a bit on the crunchy side, so it does not get soggy at all. And then when they put the sauce on and the cheese, they do not over sauce it or over cheese it. And what really stands out is the toppings. Everything was super fresh, so I would say, the pie gets more flavor from its toppings than the sauce or cheese. Although they are both there and they are both good and they do not over power the all the other flavors. Just look at those gorgeous pie picture! Well done Game Time Tavern and Pizzeria! This event is not nearly as big as Overland Park's Jazz in the Woods event that took place during the same weekend this year. River Jam has more of a down home community feel. Still worth your time, just don't expect a fancy stage and lights show. This event is more about relaxing in the park and enjoying the scenery, music, art and food. There is a small tent with local artisans showing off their wares. Not a fancy art show by any means but that also makes it more in my price range. Food vendors with bbq, fair food and fresh squeezed lemonade are aplenty!
