Kevin's corner store has become a local favorite in the Sanford area. There are two buildings here;…read moreKevin's main convenience store, which supplies all of your normal convenience store needs minus gas. Adjacent to the convenience store is Kevin's Liquor store. My wife and I frequent both locations weekly. The store is within walking distance of our home so it is a quick easy spot to grab a snack, drink or cigar for that fun night out on the town. I would say that Kevin's prices are fair market value when compared to other convenience stores in the area. There have been occasions where I have been able to get a bottle of Jim Beam or Makers Mark at a better price than ABC or Walgreens. On a side note, if you love Bud Light Platinum this may be the only place you can find it in a 12 pack or more. I am not sure why 12 packs of Platinum are so rare but if you need it Kevin's almost always has it. The parking lot can be quite active so be prepared to navigate around other people who cannot park, drive in general or just don't know how-to walk-in public. This is part of the reason we like to walk here but I guess that's how it is when your business is located at the intersection of French Ave. and 20th street in Sanford. The staff here are always helpful and friendly. The guy who is usually working in the liquor store is awesome at helping you find what you need at the best price. I feel is a great way to keep customers coming back. If you are visiting Sanford for a fun day/night out, stop in to Kevin's before heading downtown. There is something for everyone here, you might just save some Moolah and enhance your overall experience visiting Sanford.

The guy who sold it to us refused to do either. I showed him the pics and the time stamp and his attitude became disgusting. She had spent $25 for this specific item. They are thieves! For example, on several occasions, I purchased two "Clubtails" alcoholic beverages, and the posted price in the cooler is "2 for $3.75". When I went to the register, it should have been $4.13 with 7% sales tax (Seminole county). The cashier said "$4.26" which is already an overcharge of double the sales tax. When I go to pay, their credit card machine says "$4.45". When I ask why I'm being charged even more, he says "5% fee for credit card purchases under $5". I looked around for a sign listing this policy, but did not see one. They are ripping people off for 16% on all purchases supposedly under $5 (it's a convenience store, so I would imagine most purchases are under $5!).

My wife and I used to stop here a lot for sandwiches and coffee but pricing has increased and it's just not really worth it anymore unless you're in a pinch plus there is nowhere to sit down to enjoy your meal and I don't like eating in my car. If I'm going to grab and go there are better options. We used to like the coffee but it's just never as fresh as it should be and half the time, they are out of the one I prefer. They cannot compete with Race Track or Circle K on fresh coffee. I honestly wont even buy a coffee at a gas station unless I can get it fresh ground and brewed. Some of these places are still serving coffee from breakfast at dinner time, WTH? Staff are usually friendly and the store is kept clean. They have a decent restroom available and I appreciate that they have a bunch of gas pump stations along with Ethanol Free and Diesel. The intersection here in the morning with all the contractors and School Busses coming and going makes it a PITA when trying to get to work; however, it's not too bad getting in an out of the lot during non-peak times of the day. All-in-all, it's a great convenience store. Yes, there are some things they can do better but Wawa still blows away the 7-11 and Shell in that cluster of an intersection.
