In my case, that timeline was not met, and I had to request an extension, which I understand may or may not be approved. I potentially lost funding for thousands of dollars. The installation process took significantly longer than originally indicated. My project began in August of last year, and I did not receive permission to operate until mid-April of this year. in my experience, communication was inconsistent, with delays in responses and updates. In early to mid-March, I reached out multiple times and was told there were no updates. After escalating my inquiry, I was later informed that a visit had already been scheduled for the following week, which I had not previously been made aware of. This was confusing and raised concerns for me about how scheduling was communicated. Why are they making in house access appointment without ever confirming with me and telling me no appointment has been made at the same time? During one visit, I observed that the door was left open for periods of time in very cold weather (in the 20s °F), despite my requests to keep it closed. When I raised these concerns, I felt that my feedback was not fully acknowledged, as the responses I received focused more on explanations than on addressing the issues I had raised. Overall, my experience was frustrating and did not meet my expectations for professionalism.

He told me that if I did that I would miss out on the benefits he could provide. I told him that was a weird way of doing business and made me think he wanted to insert himself as a middle man and again said I wasn't interested. He kept talking and I told him to leave my property. He then insulted me so I treated him as a child and told he had the count of three before I called the police to have him removed. He still kept talking. If this is sunrun's idead of customer interaction and proper business process then it is no wonder they have bad reviews for post installation corrections. They care nothing about us, just getting a sale.

Ever since Sunrun took over everything vivid promised me is now not being done. The system has been off since June 2025. It is now March 2026 and the system is off, but they still sent me bills. I did not know it was off. They're gonna pay me back and I'm sure it's gonna be a fight. The system has been in this repair for years. The person who handles my system, turned it off because it became too unsafe to run fire hazard. Been fighting them for years to get something done about it. They keep warning me to pay for the repairs, which under my contract, I am not responsible for I don't own them. They are just using my roof, which is what they told me. Viviit solarwould take care of any problems Witcher Rose just like they promise. This company is a POS. Do not do work with them. They are a failure in my book. I wish I could get these things off of my roof but under contract I have to wait 20 years. It's been 11 years now can't wait till nine years is gone. I've had a leak due to the solar panels for about three years now and they will not fix it. Luckily it's on a outside roof over my porch so it doesn't ruin anything inside the house. I will never do business with them again!

I had a very disappointing experience with Solar Solutions and would not recommend them…read more First, I referred my neighbor to them after being told I'd receive a $600 referral credit -- I never got it. When it came time to get panels on my own roof before the tax credit deadline, the process turned into weeks of back-and-forth. At first, they agreed to a price match with a competitor, and I also asked that their 10-year roof leak warranty be extended to 15 years, which they initially agreed to. However, when it came time to sign, they raised the price without any discussion, refused to honor the price match, and said it "should never have been offered." They also bad-mouthed the competitor (which came across as unprofessional) and told me it was essentially "take it or leave it." Given the limited time to secure the tax credit, this was incredibly frustrating. I walked away -- I would rather not install solar at all than work with a company that operates like this. To make matters worse, my neighbor's project (the one I referred) was mishandled as well. His roof needed repairs before solar panels could be installed. Solar Solutions told him they'd address it, but they didn't -- they just installed the panels anyway. When my roofer came out for my home, he also inspected my neighbor's and confirmed the roof needed major repair. My neighbor then had to call Solar Solutions back to remove all the panels so the roof could be fixed. What a mess. In short: broken promises, unprofessional conduct, and careless work. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you're considering solar.

For several years, I had considered going solar, and after thorough research, I finally decided the…read moretiming was right. That's when the real work began. I was very specific about how I wanted my 10 KW system designed--both in scope and budget. I also wanted to work with an installer who was deeply familiar with the incentives available in my area. That criterion alone narrowed down the list significantly. When I began reaching out to various companies, I quickly discovered a frustrating trend: many solar installers were locked into a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach and were unable (or unwilling) to work outside of a limited system design. My project required string inverter build, which further complicated the search. Another challenge I encountered was a general lack of knowledge among some companies' sales teams. Many couldn't confidently discuss critical elements like system components or even the federal Investment Tax Credit (ITC), which is currently in the phase-out period--making it even more urgent for homeowners to act now. After speaking with many companies, I had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Elena Zenke, owner of Bee Happy Solar. From our first conversation, I knew she was different. She was knowledgeable, flexible, and respectful of both my timeline and payment preferences. She welcomed my involvement in the design process, listened to my needs, and collaborated with me to ensure the system met my vision. Bee Happy Solar is the only company I know of that offers both string inverter and micro inverter solutions, which speaks to their technical versatility. A few months after my installation, I upgraded my home modem and lost connection to my inverter's monitoring system. Elena personally came back to my home and assisted with a support call to the micro inverter manufacturer until the issue was resolved. That level of post-installation service truly solidified my trust in her and her company. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and meticulous in their work. One of the installers even helped me resolve a minor issue with my skylight--completely unrelated to the solar project--and did so at no charge. That act of generosity did not go unnoticed. Post-installation, Ms. Zenke continued to go above and beyond. She assisted in completing additional paperwork for incentives such as the Baltimore County Property Tax Credit and the Maryland Solar Access Grant. In summary, Bee Happy Solar exceeded my expectations at every stage--design, installation, follow-up, and incentive processing. I would enthusiastically recommend them to anyone considering solar, especially if you're looking for a customized approach backed by exceptional service and expertise.
