This was such an amazing meal, I wish I could have gone back the next day and had it again. Kanazawa had been mentioned to me by some chefs the last time I was in Lisbon, so I sought it out when I returned. The space is very intimate with about 8 seats total. We were served by the head chef himself, Paulo Morais. We opted for the nine course tasting menu. Each dish was presented beautifully so that we could feast with the eyes as well as our mouths. I made the mistake of finishing off some leftovers from my aunt's plates, so when we got to the sushi course, I thought I would die, I was so full. But I soldiered through.
It's a bit of a trek if you're staying near the old city (we were in Graca), but it is totally worth the effort. I can't recommend this place more. read more
