I was referred to Dr. Alexis by our family doctor to discuss treatment for my skin cancer. I promptly received a confirmation in writing for an appointment on Sept 4th. I called to asked if there was an opportunity to come in sooner and I immediately received a call back informing me that Dr. Alexis would see my, on July 2nd. Arriving at Kingsway Dermatology and Cosmetic Centre offices the team greeted me professionally and made me feel very comfortable, assisting me in completing some forms and offering me refreshments. I was asked a few questions and invited to have a seat. Within a few minutes, I was escorted to an examination room to meet Dr. Alexis, in privacy to discuss my concerns and condition. Dr. Alexis was so very kind in her approach and made me feel very comfortable and assured that she could help me resolve this skin cancer problem. I immediately received an initial treatment and together we decided on an appropriated time to begin further treatments as soon as possible, considering the time of year and my work schedule. This whole experience was professional, comfortable, efficient, respectful and reassuring to me, that Dr. Alexis will assist me in getting through this as soon as possible. In my current role, one of my key responsibilities is delivering and ensuring my team provides outstanding customer experiences with every client every day. My previous experiences with this hospital were not very good at all, quite the opposite and in the negative. This experience was much better, was able to hop around and find a wheelchair no problem. The staff were super friendly and worked with a sense of urgency, when it all was said and done, the visit took about 3 hours, the only thing that I have negative to say was that the doctor at the time read my xray wrong and I got a phone call the next day telling me very bad news. The hospital was very clean and bright. Lots of parking on site Transit options are the 123 and 80 buses, and the 15 with a bit of a walk from the mall.

The staff and services here are excellent. This is not a hospital as such as there are no inpatient…read moreservices and no emergency department. An urgent care centre (UCC) provides care for non emergency injuries and personal health issues. Sprains, cuts, rashes, broken fingers etc for example, as well as blocked catheters, urinary retention and post surgical complications if needed. Emergency care is provided at another site, as is inpatient care. This site provides investigative and pre operative work up, as well as rehabilitation on an outpatient basis. An army of knowledgeable volunteers and clerical staff ensure you are seen in good time. The UCC practices triage, so less urgent cases may wait a long time for treatment. These cases could probably get seen at a walk in clinic or at their own doctors. Properly utilized this can be a one stop shop. Before I retired as an RN I referred patients here appropriately and they received good care. My wife had her follow up care here after her knee replacement, and I have cardiac investigations done here. The one down side? The cost of parking, although options are available to reduce the cost for frequent attenders.

I'll give you a review. The people running this place have called my home phone at least 10 times…read morein the past 20 minutes trying to send me a fax. This is a private residence. Not a doctor's office. I've tried calling their phone number MANY times and the ignorant person answering the phone couldn't get out "Aberfoyle Clinic hold please" fast enough and then put me on hold. It got to the point the ignorant person didn't even say that, just fired me straight to hold. Meanwhile I'm getting call waiting beeps on the phone as their fax machine again tried to send me a fax. Finally one of their staff called back and asked me if I got their fax..... then blamed someone else saying my phone number is on another doctor's paperwork as a fax number. I don't care how busy you are, you don't just assume the person on the other end can hold indefinitely (the first time I sat on hold for 10 minutes and no one came back on) so I started calling back repeatedly every time I was put on hold.

He abruptly concluded the meeting, leaving me without any emotional support. He just cut me loose. Abandoned me. Totally unprofessional. In addition, He kept me waiting 10 minutes each appointed time, and they certainly weren't busy, (from what I could see), as I was the only one in the waiting room, and I didn't see anyone leave while I was there. He didn't seem to have any concern whatsoever for my mental well being. Funders need to know about this guy. He should retire or be fired.
