I visited the clinic for a surgical abortion. When I called to book the appointment, I was offered…read morean appointment just 3 days later, but due to work I had to book for a Saturday. Upon arrival, I was quickly checked in, given the appropriate paper work to review and fill out, which upon completing the front end staff were pleased and able to answer all of my additional questions. I did have to wait about 45 minutes past my appointment time, assuming because they also accept walk in patients. The counsellor sees you first, and she was amazing. She was very thorough and knowledgable and made me feel at ease. From there, into a changing room and private waiting room to wait for a nurse to bring you into the procedural area. I waited less than 5 minutes after changing. In the procedure room there was a team consisting of a doctor, a nurse, and a support staff. The nurse quickly and efficiently takes your vitals, while the doctor performs a quick ultrasound. At the end of the ultrasound the nurse administers the IV for sedation, and explains what she is administering as she is doing it. She also explains what the sedation will make you feel like. The procedure itself is unpleasant, but very fast - and in my experience, the nurse held my hand and talked me through it every step of the way. Into the recovery area, which was warm and had very comfortable beds to lay on with a blanket. The nurse in the recovery area immediately offers you cookies or crackers and ginger ale or water. There is always a nurse in that area, if you have any concerns or question while you are recovering. She will also explain things to expect in the next couple weeks, and offers a follow up in the clinic if necessary. For me, the sedation basically wore off within 30 minutes, and my vitals were checked again and sent on my way. This was a very hard decision and day for me, and I am grateful for the team at this clinic for making it as easy an experience as I think was possible, given the circumstances. I hope that this helps someone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Extremely high quality of care from incredibly compassionate staff. Highly recommend.read more

Today I went to the office and was subjected to having to listen to the front receptionists' views on several inane topics: Brad Pitt and Katie Holmes' love lives, the private business of other patients who called (and probably assumed their calls would not be discussed in detail / complained about for the rest of the office to hear), a poorly argued debate about the legalization of marijuana, and other ridiculous conversation for the entire hour that I waited to see the doctor while I was suffering in pain. I'd tell the reception staff to use some discretion and at least project the appearance of professionalism. You're working in a medical office, after all.

I do not recall the name of the doctor i saw on that day but he was very kind. His concern was genuine, explaining that he had a few questions that had to be asked but that he would keep them short as he could see i was in a great deal of pain and provided everything was in order he would have me on my way shortly. In no time i had a prescription for the antibiotic needed to quell my abscess and i was on my way. I have been to see this same doctor a few times since and the experience has always been pleasant. I've never had to wait long to see him on any of my visits and he is thorough without dragging things out. I appreciate that. I will find out the name of the doctor i saw on my visits to the clinic so i can add it. Reading the previous reviews i feel whomever this Dr McIntosh was he seems to have done damage in the past. But that is in the past. It would be a shame for someone to make a decision based on an old review. I have never had a poor visit to this clinic. And just to note I always make a point of getting in there early. *update* The wonderful doctor i saw was Dr. Long and I was fortunate to have seen him on my last 3 visits. Also, they are currently closed until August 2nd, 2021 (this was not mentioned when calling in to the office's direct line, but when i went there today with my son, i found a note on their door and i would hate for anyone else to travel there only to be let down. Fortunately i live close by but not having this on a phone message is a very unfortunate and I assume unintentional mistake)
