I liked her so I stuck with her. Anyhow, this medical practice has a number of doctors and it works efficiently. You can generally get an appointment easily and they also have walk-in hours. When you first enter you check in at one of the windows, depending on which doctor you are seeing. I have never had to wait more than ten minutes in the waiting room before being called back for blood pressure and weight and all that stuff. Once that happens in a clean, well-lighted nursing station, you go to another clean, bright exam room to wait for the doctor. There are also centralized printers for prescriptions and blood work orders so everything happens quickly. Even though this is a bit far from home, I will keep going here. It's a solid place to see a doctor.

However, the clinic did inform me I can walk in in case I need services. The email response time is exceptionally good and prompt. This is a good sign that in terms of administrative functions, it is quite efficient. In respect of the medical services, I have no idea how they are doing until I visit them next time.

Here on Yelp, for instance, it says they're a walk-in clinic, which could potentially lead to wasting both a potential patient's and the doctor's time. Maybe that's Yelp's fault, though, I don't know. I was recommended to Dr. Ng by a friend a while ago when I was in North York and had a fever. This friend was a registered patient of Dr. Ng's, said she was kind and attentive. I'm sure she's great to her clients, but as a walk-in patient I felt like she was practically shoving me out the door. I was sick and visiting a new place and had high expectations from my friend's glowing review. What a letdown. This experience has always stuck with me even though it's been years. This office houses two doctors, if dr. browne is out of the office, the receptionist always asks if the other doctor would be suitable. Which is fine because she's very kind also. Dr. Browne is very upfront about things which I appreciate and says if she doesn't know something but always finds out. They are quick with test results, and she's very gentle during ackward procedures. BEST OF ALL. You can get an appointment here at almost any time you want, NO WAITING. I can call leave a message and within an hour I could have an appointment for a few hours later, or they even say come now if you can it's no problem. This is so different than any other doctors office I've ever heard about. I live 45 min away and refuse to transfer to any other doctors office closer.

I've been told to give her my patient number to avoid saying my last name but every time I try that, she won't take it and the cycle of her having trouble with my last name + then asking me for my patient number will continue. I understand she's trying to keep the call time short but there's no need to be rude to the patients.

I started visiting Bloor Medical Clinic after a friends recommendation - and since I have…read morerecommended them to so many of my own friends and colleagues! The two doctors I have visited - my family doctor (currently on Maternity Leave) Dr. Theman, and her replacement, Dr. Lorde, are young, female doctors (yay!) who are extremely professional and trustworthy. I also don't have to wait forever to get an appointment - since they are both building their practices it's usually pretty easy to get an appointment within a few days of your desired date. While the decor might be a bit dated, and the receptionists a little short (hey, they are really busy!) this is pretty much as good as it gets in terms of a doctors clinic - they even have a blood lab on site and an x-ray tech just a few doors down. If they updated the office it would be a perk - but really I come for the medical advice not the ambiance, so I can't complain!
