They have local beers and my personal favorite cocktails are the Little Prince and the Dirty Sprite. They always recognize us and make sure we feel super welcome, which is much appreciated! That kind of hospitality makes us always want to go back

Is this place still open?…read more I lived in The Mil for about a dime and spent a good amount of that time at this joint. It's tough to put this place into words, mostly because I am illiterate. Well, here goes... I recently left Wisconsin, and this place is one of the few things I will miss. Great people, cheap drinks, pool, darts, solid music, and the occasional 3 Finger Joe mishap. During the summer there are Brewers outings and a brand new patio that is unbeatable on a warm night. Another plus is that you can find a game of dice at any corner of the bar, and probably in the bathrooms. I swore that I saw Ms. Pac-Man in this place one night, but I tend to over-imbibe, so it may have been a large mop. On a side note, the owner bought this place with gambling winnings from the local Indian Casino, and likes to 'spread it around' if you know what I mean. He once lost a child in a dice game, but won him back on Roulette. Big ups to the number 22. Go shake a round with Shawn, and tell him ScottyNotHotty sent ya~! If the owner is wearing shorts, then your first drink is on the bar!!

They were crispy, hot, and juicy. The flavor of the sauce was good, but they weren't as covered in the sauce as I would have liked. The bartender who was also the cook (and I very nice fellow) said that the Spicy BBQ and Garlic Parmisan are his favorite. I will be back to try those.

With all the cool trendy places on Oakland I was surprised to see a dive bar in the area so how could I not go in. The place is a dive bar that's old with a cool glass block wall as you walk in and the era correct dark wood panel walls. It's two rooms separated by the bar with the bar area in front and the pool room area in back. We probably had the most expensive two drink order of the day at $17 for two Makers Mark drinks judging by the domestic drunk mini pitcher girl at the bar. For a valentines we were the only couple in the place and I was reminded thats why they are here and it was it a great mix of people from the drunk regular woman to the guy who left and returned to smell the place up with weed. The bartender was pretty cool because he was handing out chocolate kisses to all of us. The four stars are because it was a dive bar that totally lived up to the dive bar experience and I kind of like that from time to time.

The bar itself isn't huge but it held our group of 50 or so pretty well. It was crowded but bearable. The bar is covered in artwork that was created by locals. Most of the artwork was available for purchase which I thought was really cool. As someone who appreciates art I would be interested in returning if only to see the rotating pieces. A portion of the event was outdoors so I was really excited about their outdoor heaters. Their 'backyard' is amazing. They have a huge projection screen set up for games and movies i assume. (We used it for the debut of a friend music video) There's also a huge patio area, outdoor bar, outdoor games, lots of picnic tables and several grills. The set up is unlike anything I've seen at a bar before and it's just really cool. I'm anxious to see how this large space is utilized once it warms up again. Besides drink purchases an employee also let us borrow an extension cord and was very accommodating. I haven't had much luck with the Bay View Bars so I'm pretty excited to check this place it again!
