I noticed most of the boxes were with salmon or tuna and since I am a huge fan of salmon I decided to get the "super salmon box." This place is perfect for meeting up with friends (here's looking at you Jose S and Nantisara!) for a bite to eat. Now, to be honest, it was my first full day back in Spain and the rest of my brain was trying desperately to catch up to the clock, and we arrived at the restaurant as they opened for lunch (around 1:00, which is ridiculously early for Spanish lunchtime). The menu is varied and there are lots of little options for personalizing your meal. This place is known more for their buffet (€12.95 for lunch and €15.95 for dinner) but we just needed something light in our bellies before bed. A small salad of cucumbers and seaweed, two miso soups, Vietnamese style egg rolls and shrimp fried rice fit the bill. We found it to be a bit pricey, but I'm not complaining much since this place is steps away from our hotel and when in Spain, I'll take whatever Asian food I can get. This place was recommended to me by a Japanese friend. It´s a sister restaurant of Tastem, which is apparently the best Japanese in Valencia, but also expensive... Sushi and tapas has a great menu of the day which is very affordable just 12 euro + tax including a starter, main and dessert and a drink. We had the tuna and salmon tartar and the eggplant salmon salad (delicious). Then we had the sushi variation and maki variation. As a dessert we had the sesame panna cota, lovely it tasted just like the more traditional sesame ice-cream but even better!
