I was a bit misled by the name sushi and tapas, but I was happily surprised by the fact they do not make tapas, they only have Japanese food. This place was recommended to me by a Japanese friend. It´s a sister restaurant of Tastem, which is apparently the best Japanese in Valencia, but also expensive... Sushi and tapas has a great menu of the day which is very affordable just 12 euro + tax including a starter, main and dessert and a drink.
We had the tuna and salmon tartar and the eggplant salmon salad (delicious). Then we had the sushi variation and maki variation. As a dessert we had the sesame panna cota, lovely it tasted just like the more traditional sesame ice-cream but even better! And they had an extra of menu desert which was a kaki cake with ginger ice-cream, very refreshing. (see pictures I added)
The only thing I did not like about this restaurant is the white house wine.
I would definitely be back for lunch. read more
