Being a stat, I searched FB and nothing indicating open/closed status. I called and instead of a person or voicemail message about the stat etc, I had to speak with a dumb-computer. I asked it is Lyon's open on the stat and it dumbely replied, 'we are open Monday to blah blah blah from time to time'. No. I asked you are you open on this stat holiday. It says 'sometimes we do close on a holiday'. I said 'no', I asked you 'are you either open OR closed today on this stat holiday, and if you don't know say 'I'm not certain'. It responded with, "Lyon's is definately open today". I said "Okay but if i drive all the way there and it's not open, I'm going to leave a bad review". it said "I understand your concern about not wastig time, but it is open today...". They have tons of flavour, which makes it difficult to choose but we took our time to determine what we wanted. We ordered a single serve of Belgian hazelnut on a plain cone and a single serve of pistachio-almond on a plain cone. Don't be fooled when I say 'single-serve' because their serving is honestly like 3 scoops! I was so impressed and confused at same time because we'd pay around $7 to get what they sell as 'single' scoop! We paid about $10 with tip, it was so worth it! My only comment would be to allow customers to try samples so that they can determine the flavour they really want. Apart from that, really lovely staff and just great ice cream!
