I had been in glasses since the first grade, and wearing contacts since freshman year of high school. I was severely nearsighted everything was blurry. Dr. Crane's assistant prepped me for the exam and Dr. Shannon Crane performed my actual eye exam. She was very informative and went over all the tests with me, making sure I understood everything. I took my prescription to the front room and had a LARGE variety of glasses to choose from. In the past I've gone to Warby Parker, but it was refreshing to have the option of so many designer glasses. After trying several on with the help from Hanna - I made my choice. They are helpful, patient and really work to make sure your needs are met. I've referred my husband and will continue to offer them as an option w/friends.

I over heard her complaining that she had brought her glasses in 3 times because each time they had gotten her prescription wrong. After she complained and asked them to fix it for a 4th time, they started using inappropriate language and calling the women hurtful things. They threatened to kick her out and it honestly just made me very upset. This women was getting kicked out and yelled at because this facility couldn't do their job the first time, so she had to come back a total of 4 times. Honestly it's ridiculous. I seen the women, she was honestly fairly calm and nice with the request to fix her glasses. It just makes me sad to see the disrespect that this old lady was treated with.

Contacted Doctor Kalt's office with some very specific questions: What do you charge for Lipiflow,…read moreBlephex and IPL treatment for Blepharitis. The receptionist said she wasn't familiar with those treatments and I would have to come in for a consultation to be quoted. I told her this wouldn't work as I had already been to another consultation hours away just to get a quote only to be told that it was out of my range and my insurance didn't cover it. I asked her again, for a price quote for out of pocket price. She said she would ask the doctor. His response was to come in for a consultation and he has other unspecified treatments he can offer. I asked her what these treatments were, and explained again the distance, cost, not to mention it would likely not be covered now that I had already done another consult elsewhere; she couldn't answer the question. I understand that all physicians want to bill for a consultation; but at what point does this become not only illogical, but also unethical? Your receptionists don't know what kind of treatments you offer, or what they cost. Treatments aren't covered by insurance, but you can't share the out of pocket cost up front? Why would you want a patient to pay money for a consult if you're not even sure they'd be able to access the care/not sure you even provide the care they need? Sounds like an insurance scam to me! Anyway, leaving this here in case you're looking for the same. I'd recommend avoiding this physician, he doesn't appear to take his hippocratic oath seriously.
