I am elated to find a spot so caring and kind. Not only did she check my skin but she knew I was unhappy about some rough patches in many areas and got right to work freezing them off. In my younger years it was for acne so I knew what to expect but I was happy that she explained the procedure and the after care before she started. It is wonderful to find such a caring person for skin care. Next time I go in, I will talk to them about other things they can help me with my skin care journey. At my age, I could use all the help I can get. I was shocked and laughing that the paper gown they gave me to put on tore right down the middle as I tried to open it. A nice gal at the desk gave me another one and as I put it on carefully, it started tearing in two spots. Just be aware the gowns are thin so you might want to bring a robe. There were times when I thought she was skimping people on her treatments and charging ALOT of money for them. Example you can buy 1 pound of pure Titanium Dioxide powder off amazon for 18 dollars and mix it yourself and add to creams and sunscreen and she sells it for 20 dollars for a10ml. I asked her about that and she replied that her titanium dioxide was specially mixed...its not true its exactly the same. In passing once she said that some offices mix water with their botox to save on serums...I tend to wonder if she dabbles in that, how would one know? On this note, she kept upping my botox treatments saying I needed more when I really didnt. One appointment I believe she purposely left out some units of botox on some areas of my brow to help assist her in getting more units out of me. needless to say I had to go back and get more at wich point she upped the price. This last time I visited her she gave me 2 more units then usual, which I thought was odd. I have to admit that Dr. Gelber has given me some bad vibes about the way she conducts business. She raises her prices, doesn't tell you till your in her office and then expects you to pay. Not only that, if she doesn't like you she will up her prices, or she will up her prices if she knows you have money. She now even charges 100 dollars per 15 mins just to talk about your treatments after the fact. Anyways after 6 years of treatments ( two a year) ranging from 600-1k a pop, she decides to "let me go" because she had more clients in tahoe willing to pay her more and she that she thought that I was "waisting her time". She flat out told me that she needed more money out of me and because I couldn't buy more cosmetics from her (the expensive ones) that I should go else where. What a shady experience! I wouldnt normally leave a review like this but people should know, your not a patient, she doesn't care about you, she cares about your money.

If only 30% of her patients now have to be seen twice a year rather than once am I now going to have to schedule my annual exams four (or more) months out? The only value I see thru this new policy is to Dr Adams' bottom line while being detrimental to her patients health and pocketbook.

I was examined by this office in March of 2025. I pointed out three areas of concern. I told the…read moredoctor that I've had squamous cell carcinoma before that required most surgery. The three areas of concern were on my chest; on my scalp; and one on my right forearm. The doctor examined them all and applied 2 to 3 seconds of nitrogen. All three spots slowly came back. Being highly concerned once again I just saw another Dermatologist in December 2025 and they immediately performed a biopsy on all three spots. The one on my forehead and the one of my chest are squamous cell carcinoma requiring Moh's surgery. The one on my arm has been diagnosed as stage IIB Melanoma and will undergo a series of procedures including a PET scan, Mohs surgery and the removal of a lymph node. Clearly this doctor is not good at recognizing skin cancer. Perhaps his specialty is laser surgery and other types of skin improvement.
