I didn't have a PCP set up so when I called I said I would make an appointment with the earliest available doctor. That happened to be Dr Yee. My appointment was for 2:40pm 1/14/19. I was finally called back at around 4:00. Dr Yee sent me downstairs for X-rays and told me he would call to let me know the extent of my injury no later than 12pm the following day 1/15/19. I thought that was a long time to wait with a possible broken foot and seeing that the X-ray technician told me that as soon as she took the X-rays he could access them immediately. But I waited. And when he didn't call me I called the Sutter Call Center and left an email. I waited a couple hours and with no response decided to try to call back. This went on for the next two days. Me calling and being promised a return call and would not hear back. Finally a podiatrist called me and said Dr Yee sent over a Refferal for me to be seen. But the person calling to schedule the appointment could not tell me what was wrong with my foot. I continued calling with no response via email or my messages. The call center did what they could and would promise I would receive a call back but he never got back to me. I tried contacting Sutter Patient Relations and they also promised that he would be getting back to me and they would inform the office manager and mark my messages urgent. With no call back I decided to ask to speak directly to a supervisor and not be forwarded to leave a message or email anymore. They transferred me to the front office and they told me that I indeed broke my foot. So 4 days had gone by since I saw Dr Yee and he never thought I was important enough to respond to. And meanwhile I was in the dark on how to care for myself. I wish I had gone to the ER in the first place. He does not care about his patients. Someone posted in a review that he is a 'dirty doctor' that is known to prescribe pain medication. I believe that could be true because why else would people wait hours to be seen? The front staff told me people will wait 3 or more hours just to see him. He's horrible.

During this visit, he commenced to belittle me because I would take a shot because of affordability. He literally insisted that I explain how it was that I couldn't afford the shot even snickering at me in front of the intern. He has no bed side manner. Currently he's holding up a colonoscopy because I didn't get a stress test 2 years ago which was between 2 spinal surgeries. Doesn't care to hear what the patient has to say. I've complained in the past but no apologies. I have never had less than 45min wait in exam room after appointment.

I told him you conducted patient abandonment and left a 67 year old patient on a procedure table while you were sipping champagne on a flight from India! Then when I wanted to speak to you at the hospital you walked the other way! I am not dumb! You knew what you had going on! I advised him there is no reason for contact my father is no longer a patient he went with qualified doctor not so quack just there to make money! Sutter of this is the kind of cardiologist that you have And you allow them to harass patients who file complaints they I will include you in the lawsuit as well you can't play God with people's life's! I will not take my do to this doctor My father was scheduled for a procedure on 8/2/2017 at 9 am at St. Joseph's Medical Center with Dr. Punnam! The staff got my dad all set up provided medicine and took him on and where is the doctor oh he was a no show!!!! The staff paged him called him and tried everything to get contact to him that he had his patient waiting for hi. Finally they call his office to be told that he was out of the country and was on a plane! Really???? What kind of doctor are you that you have a 67 year old man scared and stressed for two weeks along with his daughter about a procedure that you school during a trip out of the states???? Really poor excuse in my book for a doctor! So they had to see what partner was going to take care of the procedure pushed my dad back by 6 hours and 30 minutes put Saint Joseph's staff through hell but this guy is sitting in first class enjoying his flight! While I am sitting here a whole day worried about my father! Bad doctor bad bad doctor! Hope no one does this to your family member

Exceptional Care, Compassion, and Professionalism…read more We had an outstanding experience at this clinic, and I can't recommend it highly enough--especially for families with special needs. Dr. Akbar Umar was absolutely wonderful. This was our first time meeting him, and from the very beginning, he displayed a calm, gentle, and compassionate demeanor. He never made us feel rushed and truly took the time to get to know my son, who has severe autism. His patience, understanding, and attentiveness made a world of difference for our family. It's rare to find a physician who combines clinical excellence with such genuine kindness. Special recognition also goes to MA Cynthia, who was equally amazing. She was warm, professional, and incredibly supportive throughout the visit. Her approach made the experience smooth and comforting, especially for my son. Lastly, the front desk ladies deserve major praise. They were efficient, friendly, and very organized during both check-in and check-out. The entire clinic--from the waiting area to the exam room--was clean, tidy, and welcoming, which really adds to the overall experience. This clinic truly understands patient-centered care. If you're looking for a healthcare team that is respectful, accommodating, and genuinely caring, this is the place to go. We are very grateful and will definitely continue our care here
