Surprised there were no reviews for this place yet…read more My wife and the kids and I went by here on Saturday to "look" at what carts they had. We recently moved to Emerald Isle and thought it might be nice to get a cart to travel the island. We met the owner Paul who was just finishing up another sale. We told him we were just looking for some information about pricing, resale, making it street legal, etc. Paul was really nice and helpful. He answered all our questions. Told us that he would deliver it for free, pick it up and bring it back for any service and offered us a warranty. After talking with him and test driving a few around, we decided to buy one then and there. He offered to buy it back if we want to sell it when we move or sell it for us on consignment. I always like to be cautious and deliberate before I make a sizable purchase but he really made it easy and made us comfortable with the sale. He needed to add a few items to make it street legal (seat belts, turn signals) so he said it would be ready Tuesday (3 days). When we went to drop off the check the next day (Sunday), however, he said he would have it done and delivered that afternoon. He said he knew how excited our 10-year daughter was to get it and wanted to get it to us early. Really nice. It was at our house later that day. Paul is a great guy and we highly recommend this place. Can't say enough for great service. Hard to find these days.

Unfortunately, our experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing. The seller was very…read moreresponsive and eager when we purchased the golf cart in July 2024, but that completely changed once we had an issue. By August 2024, we noticed an orange warning light and reached out for help. He said he would come take a look, but never followed through. I continued to message him over the following months with little to no response--at one point only receiving a thumbs-up reaction in spring 2025, but still no actual service or follow-up. When my husband reached out as well, instead of offering to check it or stand behind the product, he simply told us to go buy new batteries. Now we're heading into another summer season and still have a golf cart that doesn't work. Very frustrating experience, especially considering how quickly communication dropped off after the sale. I would not recommend based on the lack of support and accountability.

I saw the perfect cart ! Her favorite colors and the price was extremely reasonable. So I went to pick her up and we just happened to stop back by on our way home, " just to show her what I saw". Well lo and behold they had an even better option than what I saw ! The price was fair for a practically new "last year's model". We were sold after the test drive. It had all the bells and whistles we were hoping to put on a cart a little at a time. ( maintain the budget). After it was all said and done, it was cheaper to get the cart with all the stuff already on it and they delivered it for free over an hour away ! Super friendly folks and willing to do whatever you need to make sure you're happy with your cart . We have had our cart for a couple months now and absolutely love it ! Can't recommend Island Karts enough !

Noticed they had porch swings, but we wanted one with the NC and SC emblem on the back were told it can be done. Went back and ordered it and paid in full on June 17th. Was told it would be ready on or around June 20th, great we live out of town so that would be perfect. I started calling July 6th and the phone just rang. Finally, a young girl answered, and I was told the swing would there on July 8th we had someone go by 4 times on 7/8 they were closed.... they are open Wed thru Sun 7am to 7pm. Started calling again the next Wednesday and I haven't even mentioned the numerous Facebook messages that were sent and never answered, or I was told oh come get it Friday again..... The guy would never call us back. We had already had someone go by this business on 3 separate occasions and they were closed. Finally, I sent him a message on FB have our refund or our swing my husband will be there July 23rd....they were closed! After a texting conversation between the owner and my husband they were to meet this morning at 9:30am, guess what the guy was a no show/no call! How inconsiderate can a person be? My husband found out that the furniture was made in Cape Carteret, NC and googled it and found the guys making it and drove the extra distance to pick it up. These guys said we weren't the first people to complain. If you are looking for outdoor furniture don't do like we did, and drive the extra distance to Cape Carteret and go see the guys who actually make the furniture and deal directly with them unless you want to be lied to as this guy could care less about you once he has your money! They didn't have what we were looking for, but we were told they could build us a custom one in four weeks. When it wasn't done in four weeks, they at least gave us a loaner for a few weeks while I had family visiting from out of town. The one positive out of all of it. When we went down there at seven weeks, the golf cart, they showed us was nothing like what we ordered. The owner wanted to do everything he could to not refund our money but rather to make it right. Admirable, I'd have to say, however, lots of promises made, and no promises kept. Lies after lies. 12 weeks later, still no golf cart and still needs to be painted with graphic design they were supposed to be able to do, among other things. That was going to take another 2 to 8 weeks, depending upon the choice now. I'm done! Asked for my refund, which is now pending and we'll see where that goes. I'll update if other action has to be taken. Can you imagine what service would've been like? Another customer in the showroom on July 23 said he hopes we get better service than he was getting. Lots of red flags from the beginning. Should have known better!
