He was on time and he started drilling without following my instructions of using my previous drill…read moremarks as a guide for where to drill (just not in the exact spot but next to the mark) since I had done accurate measurements. Now the curtain is an inch from the floor. He drilled the holes before asking me how I was hanging them but that would only cause about a half inch difference. I'm not sure he's hung curtains before because the rod on each end is in alignment with the window and decorators use 1-3 " from the window. My marks were about an inch away from the window on either side. The job took an hour for $125 which seems high. After he left I found the right bracket holding the rod wasn't flush to the wall. This was my original issue and that's why I had contacted him to come out. I was told the wall was plaster and I think that's why he charged more because it's a pain to deal with. Turns out it was sheet rock. Anyway, I will be moving the rod out to accommodate a wider curtain and I'll probably move it down to where it should be so it was a waste of money.

After some thought and a trip through Lowe's, he found the perfect solution. He put up lattice work to give us shade, and attached it to the pergola in a way that will stand up to the high winds we often get here - and not only that, he gave it some architectural detail that makes all the difference. It's beautiful as well as functional. Robert is a visionary, and a skilled craftsman for sure. He's also well versed in every kind of handyman job you can imagine. His rates are very reasonable, he communicates very well, arrives at the job site on time, and in general, is absolutely wonderful to work with. He listens - and it's obvious that he cares about doing the very best job possible. I also had him do a few things inside the house, and again, he did a great job. After months of patiently waiting on a solution, we met Gable and he and his crew knew exactly what we wanted and how to move forward. They handled it, in a timely, professional manner, caring about what we were going thru and giving us a finish date with permits handled and Andrew the project manger helping us. Francisco the tile expert, doing the tile work. We picked out what we wanted from Floor and Decor in Pleasant Hill, they handled the project from that point on and did an amazing job. Each day they told us what was happening next and cleaned up the days work you could not even tell they had made a project that day...Everything turned out how we described it to them, it was done in Jan. 2026 and by Feb. 1 a month later, we had a new beautiful tiny bathroom, I would recommend Gable and his team for any remodel. I feel they are honest, professional and have all their credentials. His company asked for more money than agreed and was very late on the agreed timeline. (Even though it took over 2 months) We don't know what happened, but second bath his quality and detail work went downhill big time. He wasn't even going to put anything over a piece of wood on top of shower wall. We asked about it, "aren't you going to put matching shower tile up there." He replied "we didn't talk about that and it's not seen up there." Well it may not be seen but it's a bathroom with moisture. He put an Uneven cut piece of metal strip up there that doesn't even touch wall-to-wall evenly. So husband is still going to have to caulk to get a tight fit, so moisture doesn't get in and give us mold. He seemed to care about his quality of work in bathroom number one, but in bathroom number two he didn't seem to care at all. I would NOT recommend this guy at all. If you are doing a one day job for a hot water heater then maybe, but a long-term job definitely not.! I have pictures to prove how is work went downhill comparing both bathrooms.
