When I was thinking about having a photo booth I was really concerned about the footprint. I didn't want an obtrusive backdrop with props taking up space in my beautiful but small venue hall. The cosmic booth took up a tiny bit of space with no backdrop and everyone LOVED it!! It was a great way for me to connect with more of my guests and give them a chance to express all the happiness with fun boomerangs that kept everyone laughing! I would totally recommend this for any event big or small! Also we had an overlay made for the photos and the crew was able to match our wedding invite design which was PERFECT!!!

The lighting they used made the reception space look beautiful and the DJ had high energy throughout the night. If I had to say one not-so-positive thing about the night, it would be the music got away from what we were looking for at times. We wanted all 90's music, but there was a stretch where it was 70's/80's generic wedding songs that nobody was really dancing to. I'm sorry! I have tried repeatedly to contact Dionicio Colorado and Amanda Underwood, the owners, to sit down and have a conversation, but they will not return calls. I have been patient and until this point have not said anything bad about them, but I think everyone should beware of planning any events at this place.

The pictures were rich and deep and had something too them that nothing else we had shot with did. Im sure there are a ton of photographers who could shoot clean precise images of wedding dresses and shiny baubles but im not positive those same photographers could pull the depth and emotion out of them the way you did. Before I even talk about the photography itself, I was just amazed at the professionalism that Heather and Matthew displayed while working with us. They suggested amazing shots, were very upbeat and helpful and it almost feels as if Heather is just as excited as you are when it comes to your wedding almost like a Bridesmaid/Photographer hybrid, which is why I felt compelled to write a review here, because what we experienced and saw on other reviews vs. what Phallin experienced are complete opposites. As far as photography goes, before hand we really had no knowledge on what we wanted to do in regards of where we wanted to take engagement pictures, or what type of shots we were looking for but I feel this is really something that Heather does really well. She suggested places that we could go that could produce some really great shots for our engagement pictures and she will literally go the extra mile for a great photo ( I have saw her run up 2 flights of stairs with a full set photo equipment multiple times in ~90 degree weather just so she could get the perfect shot which is impressive in itself). On our wedding day, Heather and Matthew came to the venue early and cleaned up a spot outside that made for some really great shots which is again, something that was not expected but just a testament of how they will go the extra mile to make sure that your day is captured perfectly in pictures. Also during the wedding they were very receptive with our guests and even took pictures with the guests phones when requested along side with taking professional pictures, which is something that I heard is usually not done by professional photographers. All in all I rarely write reviews; if something is great its great, if its not its not, but you can not go wrong with Heather and Matthew in Uptown Downtown Photography, the Price-to-Service ratio is amazing and more people need to know how much of a asset they will be to your wedding and capturing your special day. I really tried to find some constructive criticism but honestly could not as this is probably the best service that I have had to pay for for this wedding. After it was all said and done,even though we did not know her before this wedding, people that attended the wedding asked us was Heather a family friend that we knew for a long time because of her wonderful attitude and her involvement with our marriage which my wife happily replies with, "No, but she is now." -Stefan

It was certainly a beautiful place to hold a wedding, from the actual spot where the vows were exchanged, to the small open area where the appetizers were served (and open bar) to the bar area where the remainder of reception was held. All of it was visually appealing as it was definitely very functional for the purpose it was used. Staff were friendly, if not overly so, and certainly took care of the bride and groom and their direct family - as you would expect. From the…read moreinitial interview, to the back and forth (quick response) emails, to the culmination of the big day, Scott & Jina came through with flying colors. They were able to incorporate entertainment that had an entire room of 200+ people involved and engaged, they coordinated well with our other venders to nail down the nights pacing, and Scott played and transitioned music wonderfully. It felt comforting knowing that we didn't have to worry about our timeline because we knew it was in good hands, in fact it breezed by so quickly that I rarely looked at my watch.
