We hired her for full service wedding planning. It was an absolute pleasure to work with such a creative and brilliant professional. We HIGHLY recommend her. We interviewed several wedding planners and Debbie was the only one who was on top of staying in close contact with us, creating and sustaining a tastefully themed vision and maintaining and executing with professionalism from day 1. We worked closely with her for 10 months. She assisted with vendor meetings and maintaining vendor relations to facilitate a successful event. Our wedding day went exactly according to schedule, on time and was managed properly with a wide array of vendors. There was not one mishap - or if there was, it was never something we needed to handle - because Debbie handled EVERYTHING (like Olivia Pope)! The design, theme and atmosphere were superb and exactly what we wanted. We happily recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding planner specializing in themed weddings.

Words cannot begin to describe how utterly disappointed I am with Debbie and Fandom Affairs…read more We hired Debbie in November of 2021 for our wedding in January of 2023, and at first, it felt like actual magic. We stumbled across her card in a drawer (we must have gotten it at a convention a few years prior) and immediately looked up her website and it felt like fate. The wonderful combination of glamor and nerdiness was *perfect* for us and our wedding, and Debbie seemed to be the exact kind of 'geek' we could get along with. The first few meetings with her she was extremely personable and fun and we thought we were in good hands. Then she disappeared for a month and didn't reply to our emails. Since we were so far out from our wedding, we didn't stress. It was the holidays, and 2021 was the nightmare pandemic year, so if she didn't reply to an email in December, we weren't too worried. She eventually got in contact with us again in January and reassured us that she hadn't ghosted, but had simply gotten sick with covid. Debbie then told us it was time to get to work on wedding planning, and set up bimonthly check-ins for us, starting with a few vendor recommendations. She told us we needed to pick a photographer and a DJ, and gave us recommendations to choose from which we would do at the next check-in. Then she post-poned the check-in, apologized and rescheduled. Then she canceled the rescheduled check-in with a note that she had to cancel, no reason provided, no offer to reschedule. Then she didn't show to the following four check-ins (over almost two months), no notes, no apologies, no notice, and no response to any of our emails. We finally told emailed her that if she wasn't going to bother to show up to any of the meetings *she* scheduled, or even reply to our emails at *all*, we would have to find another wedding planner. She didn't respond to that email, but she *did* immediately remove us from her aisle planner account she had set up, proving she was at least reading them. I'm so infuriated but also honestly just... shocked she did this. I didn't expect this from her at all, given how wonderful her other reviews were and how friendly she seemed in the few meetings she did bother showing up to. Now my fiance and I have lost out on a good chunk of our wedding budget and are scrambling for a replacement planner and new recommendations (we don't feel comfortable using the ones she recommended to us, even if we never actually got to contact them). All in all, I would *not* recommend Fandom Affairs or Debbie to anyone looking to plan a wedding with any kind of communication with your wedding planner at all. I know we're still fairly far away from the wedding date, but hell, we would have even accepted a carrier pigeon. Perhaps a message in a bottle? A voice on the wind? Literally anything at all would have been better than absolutely nothing.

She thought of things we hadn't thought of and kept everything super organized in the days leading in. She listened to every idea & made us feel supported from start to finish. If she hadn't had us write out some of the requests, we may have never thought of it ourselves. Our wedding ceremony and reception were in two different locations with two separate managements, so it came with some fun logistics which she managed so smoothly. Not to mention, she was monitoring the weather and rain clouds for an outdoor wedding in August in Florida :) Her warmth, organization, and attention to detail allowed us to be fully present and enjoy our wedding day without worry. Stacy gets the job done!! At times, the vendors/venue were not responsive and Stacy had to step in and rectify the issue. She and her husband have experience and connections within the central Florida wedding community and it shows! They make a great team and are the kind of people you want to be in charge for your big day. Everything came together beautifully, and we always felt like she genuinely cared about us and our vision. She also does a great job throughout the night checking in on you, making sure you are comfortable, have the drink you want/need, and stay on schedule, as needed- without stressing you out. She is professional, knowledgeable, and kind. She kept me calm when I was freaking out about rain the week of the wedding and ensured that everything went flawlessly. Additionally, she has great professional connections in Central Florida so when I had an issue with a vendor, she actually knew someone at the company and could have reached out to them if it had been necessary (which made me feel better lol). I think one of the most important things you need to have in order to truly enjoy your own wedding day is peace of mind. So many people say their wedding was stressful, or they didn't eat, or they were rushing around all day. How terrible is that when it is supposed to be your most special day an you paid so much money for all of it?? Thanks to Stacy, I did not have to worry about a single thing and got to truly relax and enjoy my day. She has a very easy and detailed questionnaire that I completed so she knew everything. I basically brain dumped all of my planning on her, gave her vendor contact info, and she went with it! Every single detail I told her about was just perfect. She set up a lot of décor, along with our florist, and it all looked so beautiful and just as I requested. I was never hungry or thirsty because Stacy was always right there to get me a beverage or whatever I needed. Stacy also handled some slightly complicated family dynamics with grace and confidence. Every one of the other vendors complimented her work and stated she was one of the best coordinators they ever worked with, which I think says a lot! My wedding party also loved her because she is so sweet and fun! She ran a flawless rehearsal for us so, again, everything was so stress free. Stacy coordinated another wedding that I attended, where she unfortunately had to handle a medical emergency with a guest and she was cool, calm, and collected under pressure. Stacy is extremely LGBTQ+ supportive and I would hire her for any type of couple. You tell them what kind of feel you want for your wedding reception and then you cross your fingers and hope for the best. When Disney assigned us Steve Weinstein, it's like we won the wedding lottery. Steve was the perfect match for us and we had an absolute blast at our wedding. Our friends and family are still talking about what a good time they had and I give a lot of that credit to Steve. I was a lax and panicked bride planning a second wedding several states away, including four kids and some very conservative family members. I took forever to get back to Steve and still he made the whole day seem effortless. Steve was energetic and entertaining, funny, flattering, incredibly professional and best of all, we felt like we'd known him forever. Our first point of contact was Steve, and our DJ was Danny. These guys are super professional and accommodating, but also a ton of fun to work with. We gave Danny a huge list of song requests and a schedule of how we wanted the night to pan out, and everything went super smoothly despite the fact that we went about everything so last minute. A few days before the wedding, we decided that we wanted market lighting at the venue. Steve booked it for us, Danny set it up on the day, and it was absolutely gorgeous. I was impressed with their ability to accommodate our last minute needs. I would definitely recommend them & book them for another event if I had the opportunity!
