Five stars for my favorite one-stop party planning shop! PGP seriously has everything you need to…read morehost the perfect summer soiree, baby shower, birthday bash, or celebration for the bride-to-be. I personally love their gift wrapping station and balloon bar, which can add some fun flair to any occasion. If you've never gotten a giant billy balloon with metallic tassels, you're missing out! They have a beautiful array of colors to choose from, and you can even customize you balloons with personalized calligraphy. PGP just recently launched "The Pantry" which is a perfectly curated corner of their shop that is filled with grab & go provisions, party supplies, sweet treats by Morgan Hunter Desserts, fresh flowers, and more. You can swing by and grab these items at any time (picnic on Lake Ivanhoe, anyone??) or you can pre-order everything you need for your next gathering. They also offer custom design services for invitations, stationery, and all your paper needs! And if you haven't seen The Party Room event space in the back of their shop, well then you're welcome... I just found your next party location. You can rent out this adorable space by the hour, and it's perfect for a bridal shower, dinner party, or even a private workshop. Megan & Cedar are the talented duo (and twin sisters) behind Paper Goat Post. They are going to be celebrating their 6th PGP birthday this year and have become a community staple in Ivanhoe Row. Let's continue to support this small local biz!

They had a nice selection of gifts, cards, and party supplies here. Cards are about in the ~$6 range, which compared to some of the cheesy cards you can get at target for the same price isn't too bad. Most of the selection is catered towards gifts, cards, and party supplies but they do have some stationary stuff too. Not sure I'd drive out of my way to come here again, but if I find myself in the Lake Baldwin area I'd definitely swing by to see what's new! If you're a fan of cute cards, or are looking for some easy gifts, definitely give this shop a go!

I truly don't understand how this company has so many good reviews. We booked our wedding in the…read moresummer of 2021 at The Wellborn for 11/12/22. We were so excited because the venue seemed amazing and so did everything Avenue provided according to their website. They say they help you plan everything from start to finish however this was not our experience. Everything started fine and we didn't really interact with them for the first year aside from signing and paying our contract. I thought it was odd that they didn't ask me any details about my plans or vision. They didn't even send me a preferred vendor list so I searched out my own. Which was fine because I found the most incredible vendor! Once we got a few months out from the wedding that's when it really fell apart. I reached out many times to finalize details and to try to nail down our menu. My messages were often times left with little to no answers and even ignored. I also thought found it strange that I was assigned 3 different "event managers" through the process. We ended up with Sarah who was very nice but not helpful. Their "venue relations manager", Annalise, never spoke to me once although she was included in the conversation many times. Often the poor communication was blamed on the venue itself but the venue ended up stepping in to fix everything!! Information given to me by avenue was completely different then information provided by Wellborn. Including food choices and pricing, bar selection and pricing, signature drink selection, vendor set up times and requirements. Basically all the important things. Three weeks before the wedding we still had no answers and had no idea what our guests were going to eat!! Desperate, I reached out directly to The Wellborn begging for help and thank god I did because their event director, Hannah, saved my event!!! I had many vendors to coordinate and I had hired my officiant to also plan and manage the day of the event. She and Hannah literally saved my wedding! I can't say it enough. I was never needy or difficult. I didn't even ask for help until the last 3 months of planning. I felt very neglected and invisible. This was my second marriage so I was much more laid back about things. I had hoped that by booking through Avenue I could save a lot of stress and just enjoy everything. This was not so. I haven't shared all the things that went awry but it was bad enough that I considered legal action. However time has healed the wounds and instead I have turned to sharing some of my story so others may save themselves the grief and stress. I know of 2 others brides that were having their event very close to mine at the same venue and both had the same problems. Perhaps they provide better service when booking one of the venues they own instead of the venues that they provide third party management. I hate leaving bad reviews but I got turned into a Karen on this one and that makes me very very sad.

From the start, Sophia had excellent communication and I loved our sit down Zoom chats to discuss wedding ideas, visions, timelines, expectations, etc. I am someone who is super organized and has planned numerous events for my friends and family, and finding someone just like me in a wedding planner was such an amazing gift. Sophia and I genuinely felt like friends because our conversations were so organic. Even my fiance (now husband) commented how fantastic she was with everything! Truly, truly thank you so much Sophia, you made our wedding experience such an easy, smooth, and fun time. You deserve all the vacations and raises in the world! xoxo Side note -- Blush's planning pod "To-Do's" was an amazing idea to help keep things on task!

I wish I could be writing a great review on Blush, however our experience was terrible from the…read morestart. We had Deirdre and from our first meeting with her she didn't have any wedding ideas or visions. She basically went through a timeline and asked a bunch of questions, most of which we couldn't answer because my daughter has never had a wedding before. We hired a planner to do just that, help plan and guide us. We had a bad feeling about Deirdre and contacted Blush hoping they would give us someone else. They stood behind her. I wish we pushed it because our concerns showed up on the wedding day. Deirdre was hardly around at all during the entire wedding. Apparently she had an assistant whom we never met or saw. There should have been three people from Blush for a large wedding. We communicated to her that the couple wanted to attend the cocktail party doing photos before so that could happen. Deirdre escorted them to a room for a private cocktail time, which was nice, however she never went back to get them. They finally left on their own with little time to visit with guests. My daughter kept looking over her shoulder for Deirdre, as she witnessed during her friends weddings their planners were at the brides hip most of the time. During the ceremony she wasn't behind the bride to fix her dress before walking down the aisle. It was off to the side for the pictures. Worst bride nightmare! After picking out a perfect train and veil to have it crumbled up walking down the aisle. She also didn't come the rehearsal so Blush should have replaced her then with the planner who did, as that Is part of the reason things went wrong. Things happen so I understand her not being able to make the rehearsal, however there should have been someone at the wedding who did make it to the rehearsal. This totally falls on Blush. Deirdre gave the band and the DJ the wrong opening songs. We were never introduced to the catering manager, which I shouldn't have needed, but our table was out of water and wine during most of dinner and we had to get up and find a server because I couldn't find Deirdre. She should have pointed out the host table to the manager at least. The cake was cut and served on a side table but she didn't tell the band to announce it so the majority of the cake went to waste. We extended the after party and the bus to take people back to the hotel's till 12:45. At 11:30 she announced the LAST bus was leaving so people panicked and left. She was in charge of getting the card box to my car, however the box was a little small and some cards were left on the table. There are a handful of cards guests left that never made it back to us. BLUSH single handedly ruined much of the wedding that took over a year to plan, not to mention the expense. You rely on wedding planners to help make your dream wedding a reality, not to be stressed the day of and very disappointed. I called and left a message with Brandee a couple of days ago asking to return my call, but I haven't heard back yet.
