I came here recommend by a friend. I am glad I did , my three year old did so good . We made a same day appointment with Manuel. He was so sweet and kind to my little guy! He took his time cutting my son's hair with so much patience and warmth! Now this is not a kid barbershop but he sure made us all feel so comfortable. Everyone , was nice. My first thoughts upon walking in to the newly open Kaizen Studioz. I was greeted with forest green accent walls, perfectly placed plants against the wall elevating the place, and the morning sun reflecting off the floor giving them just the right amount of light. A gentleman named Michael, alone, sweeping and meticulously moving pieces of furniture around as if to set the stage, shakes my hand and looks me in the eye the way an old friend does. We talk about what kind of haircut I'm looking for and I try my best to explain with the little industry jargon I know. He picks up what I'm telling him making it easier for someone like me. I sit in the leather chair and he begins his process. Before long we are talking about family and where we grew up. He tells me he is the actual owner and just had a baby and that this week was his first week open! A bold risk for someone in this profession to venture away from working for someone else and begin working for himself. We exchange stories of our kids and family-alike. As our time comes to an end he hands me a handheld mirror and I nervously look at my reflection against another mirror. He slowly turns the chair to show me different angles each one making me smile. I realized then why he decided to venture on his own and start his own journey. When you love your craft and help your guest have the best experience you are building not only positive experiences but life long return costumers. The shop is clean, has great lighting, and overall a chill place to get your haircut. While thats usually why a barber shop is good, thats not why I go there. I go there for the barbers and how they make the experience more than just getting a haircut and that's what makes this barbershop great. Barbers like Mike and Manuel are genuinely great guys that add so much personality to the shop that you'd probably just have a good time just sitting there and talking to them.
