Has anyone else on Long Island struggled to find a good plumber? Half the time I never understand…read morewhat they're talking about, then next thing you know you run up a bill of $500-$1k without blinking. It's like that episode of Seinfeld: George: "Well of course they are trying to screw you. What do you think, that's what they do. They could make up anything, no one knows". Plumber: "By the way, you need a new Johnson rod in here". George: "Oh Johnson rod, yeah well, better put one of those on". That was me, previous to getting referred to Ed from Eddie's Home Comfort. Ed has done countless of jobs for me. Heating issues with the boiler, cooling issues with the A/C, backyard plumbing, toilets that decide to stop flushing - the list goes on. He successfully completes the task at hand, and then goes above and beyond to make sure things are left better than they were before they were working. And his prices are more than reasonable. At the end of the day he's a guy that cares, prices are fair and he's also technically proficient. Tough to find these days. Finally found a plumber I can trust.

It's old enough to have a family, a career, a mortgage... Uhh. Time for a replacement. After speaking to 7 companies and getting 3 quotes, I landed on Nick's company. Almost immediately after reaching out, he was asking questions, requesting pictures, and really trying to get an idea of my space. He was kind, thoughtful, and extremely communicative. Unlike one company I dealt with, he was also open to giving me multiple options. There were no pushy sales tactics. He definitely isn't a salesman, he's an installer. Replacing your entire HVAC system is not cheap, and honestly, it is intimidating if you don't know a darn thing about SEER ratings and tonnage. I can research just about anything, so I really appreciated being given the information and having the opportunity to take it back and analyze it for myself and compare. The entire install went great, the team was courteous, respectful and seem to work well with Nick! They were joking around like old friends while working their tails off getting the install done. FYI he is not located on long Island any more, but that doesn't stop him from providing excellent service. He is on the island all the time. We're extremely happy with everything so far and we couldn't have picked a nicer person to do it with. Ps: if you need further proof that he's an all around great guy, he loves animals, too!!

I highly recommend him to anyone who needs AC repair. Nick definitely knows his stuff and will be the first person I call for any future HVAC issues or new purchases!

Their guy Tim showed up on time at 2. He took a look at the leaking pipe and the heater. His estimate for the pipe was $350, while other people range from $100 to $175. So I said I would call him back. Then this guy suddenly asked for service charge of $89. I had talked to the office in the morning and was clearly told the estimate is free. I explained that to Tim, and offered him $20 for the visit, but he insisted on the $89. I rejected, then he repeated "you shouldn't treat people like this" with angry, threatening face. All he did was look at the pipe and heater for 5 minutes. I called the office while he was still here, but he left before I was connected to somebody. The lady who answered apologized and confirmed that the estimate is free, and she would tell her boss. I wouldn't recommend this company to anybody.
