Aloha, lunch happiness! Today the building management where my office is located treated the tenants to a catered lunch, and from the moment I walked up, I felt like I had accidentally wandered into a mini luau instead of a workday meal! Everyone with the catering service was wearing REAL plumeria leis, and the tables were decorated with beautiful tropical flower bouquets. I half expected someone to hand me a coconut and tell me my office had been relocated to paradise! I had the BBQ teriyaki chicken, kalua pulled pork, macaroni salad, mango-pineapple refresher, and pineapple upside down cupcakes--and let me just say, my taste buds put on a grass skirt and started celebrating. The chicken was juicy, flavorful, and delicious. I honestly didn't think the kalua pulled pork would be my favorite, but surprise! It fully stole the show and ran off into the sunset with my heart. The macaroni salad was excellent, and the mango-pineapple refresher was so tropical that I was one sip away from doing the hula in the hallway! And pineapple upside down cupcakes? Come on now. That is not dessert--that is sunshine and sugar! Everything was so good that I actually went back to the floor where they were serving just to tell them how much I loved the food and service. I also took pictures because the world needs to know: if you need catering, hire these people immediately before I book them for my backyard luau! After checking out their website, I saw they also offer Polynesian music, hula dancers, and classic luau entertainment. So now, naturally, I am considering throwing a luau for absolutely no reason other than joy, pulled pork, and of wearing flowers in my hair. Mahalo for a fabulous catered lunch--this was festive, fun, delicious, and totally worthy of a happy little hula! Headed home to find my coconut bra and grass skirt!! read more

I was on the fence about hiring entertainment, but I couldn't stop thinking about how awesome it would be to have Polynesian dancers for our backyard baby shower luau theme. I researched several companies with different price ranges and packages. I chose Kahula Voyage because their different packages were reasonably priced compared to others and they had great reviews. However, I was iffy though because they only had 33 reviews. I took a chance....... I have no regret hiring this company and would hire them again. We had approximately 60 to 70 guests from different ages 8 months to 70 years old and different groups of friends from work, childhood and neighbors. This is a great way to bring your guests together, to absolutely have an epic and definitely memorable moment. Package information is clearly available on their website, but Unica the owner was very cordial, personable and took the time to explain the standard package with fire dancer I was interested in. She answered all my questions and more. Just hearing her kind voice gives you a trusting feeling. Definitely hire the fire dancer, you and your guests will be WoWed. The dancers get your guests engaged and involved. We even had a lot of our male guests doing the hula. The dancers stayed after the performance and took pictures with our guests. Stop thinking about it and hire them already!!!!!!!! read more

Our retirement Luau was a memorable milestone made extra special by the amazing Kahula Voyage Luau, entertainment and catering company! This is the second time we have contracted with them and I will hire them over and over again for our entertainment and catering needs. Most importantly, before our event got going, we stopped and honored Maui in our heartfelt moment of silence. We continue to send our prayers. The team of dancers and greeters represented their love of the polynesian islands in their professionalism, kindness, dance and expression so beautifully that for a moment we felt we were in Hawaii. The costumes, choreography, music and narration captured the stories of the islands which touched our hearts. The show was truly an incredible interactive experience. Of course the extra treat was the fire dancer who left us all in absolute amazement! We added to our Luau celebration with catering as well. The set up of our buffet was beautifully decorated with orchids and other flowers and greenery which we all loved! The food was delicious, the Kahula Pig and BBQ chicken was so moist and perfectly seasoned. The salads and rice were all on point in terms of freshness, taste and layout. Their team of servers were courteous and eager to ensure everything was to our liking which it truly was! The team arrived organized and our kitchen remained organized when they left leaving tidy leftovers for those after party appetites! To say I was thrilled to have Kahula Voyage again is an understatement! Lena and her team of dancers and caterers were simply awesome and left us feeling we were part of their Ohana! From the communication and planning phase with Lena, to the execution on event day, Kahula Voyage delivered every step of the way. They put on an INCREDIBLE show that transported me to a luau in Hawaii. I swear, they gave me Paradise Cove/Germaine's Luau vibes, but here in Cali. I do not have enough words to express how happy I am to have booked Kahula Voyage for my client's luau -- and my client was beyond thrilled. Thank you, Unica and her team for an amazing entertainment. Kahula Voyage was so easy to work with and very professional. Through telephone conversations and text messages, Unica helped us decide which packages would be a great fit for my daughter's birthday Luau theme at our home. We stayed in touch for weeks and she constantly would update me with who the performers will be and even sent pictures. On the day of the event, Athea was the MC and also one of the dancers. Holy whole roast pig!! I hired Tausala Polynesia to cater my husband's 50th birthday party and the food was a hit with all the guests. The whole roast pig I ordered was the highlight of dinner. It may have been photographed more than my husband was that night! Not only did it look beautiful, it tasted delicious. The sound of the crunch as people bit into the crispy skin, followed by a satisfying "mmmm" was music to my ears. The fact that one guest who is really health conscience, continually went back to eat more pork skin throughout the entire night, is a testament to how delicious it was! But enough about the roast pig, the rest of the food was super yummy, too! Spam musubi, Chinese chicken salad, mac salad, chicken long rice, BBQ chicken, beef skewers, rice, Hawaiian rolls, and a fruit platter rounded out the menu. The BBQ chicken was moist and flavorful. I'm always a bit weary of catered chicken being dry but that definitely was not the case. The spam musubi were great! Not just your average spam, rice, and nori - not here! There was some delectable sauce that made the musubi totally mouthwatering. Even the fruit platter was fantastic. I know, how fantastic can fruit be? It was so colorful and beautifully displayed that it made the fruit very inviting to eat. This is coming from a non-fruit eater! Unica was great to work with. She is very sweet and accommodating! Her prices are extremely reasonable for the quality and amount of food you get. She will be my go-to caterer from now on. If you are looking to cater Hawaiian food for your next event, I highly recommend Tausala Polynesia! read more

Blown away by TAUSALA POLYNESIA's customer service! With less than 24 hrs of needing a new Polynesian dancer to replace the horrible business I hired a month prior. Unica who is the owner of Tausala Polynesia, went above and beyond to accommodate my party and saved the day!!! Not only was she helpful, but she kept her word when she said she would do her best in finding someone for us at such a last minute notice. Cambria was the Polynesian Dancer who performed at my daughter's birthday party. She showed up on time, was professional, great at interacting and making the kids feel comfortable, danced (w/ costume change), and had a great performance. Everyone enjoyed and other islanders complimented on how great she was! We had kids rave weeks later about how much fun they had with the "hula girl." I completely recommend Tausala Polynesia for your parties. I've learned you get what you pay for, and if you search for someone cheaper... be prepared to be cancelled on or experience bad customer service. extra stars for Unica and her team at Tausala Polynesia!!!!! Thank you for a memorable island theme party read more

Kahula Voyage performed for my Hawaiian Luau Retirement Party. They were outstanding. They were prompt and on time before the said time. My guests were thoroughly entertained and were completely impressed with the dancing, movements, music, costumes and of course the fire. The price was excellent for the show I received. Beautiful, talented Unica and her team MADE our Luau celebration a smash hit! From the beginning her communication was clear and friendly, she worked with me to sort out a plan and budget that would really make my fiance's 40th birthday party something special.
