Nicest people and great selection. So awesome to have a reliable pet store in downtown San Diego.

Some are free after certain times so pay attention to those. Feels: It's in Downtown San Diego near a lot of corporate businesses, restaurants, and parks. It's a corner spot so you can't miss it. The space itself is small but every corner is basically maximized to be filled with cat/dog goods. A great selection of food, toys, and costumes for your furry pets. Great for a last-minute grab and go to the park or something to grab a nice gift. PRODUCTS: Playtoys (Recommend) I got a burger for the dog and a butterfly toy for the cat. The feedback I got received was great. My brother's dog loved the burger chew toy as it was soft squeaky and aesthetically accurate. The butterfly was aesthetically pleasing and also had this nice cracking sound when you ruffle it. Biscuit Snack (Recommend) The aesthetics were great with a bright blue and gold representing San Diego (I hope dogs can read) CUSTOMER SERVICE: Brenda was awesome! She was bubbly, passionate, and knowledgeable about animals. TL;DR OVERALL: 5 Stars | Awesome! I know it was a little of the right place at the right time but regardless this place was awesome! Great prices and selections, can't complain here. I wish Brenda the best with her business. ADVICE: *Great place to pick up goods for dogs and cats.

They carry an assortment of treats (including my dog's favorite) and he easily finds a backup favorite if they're out of his No-hide chews. This was the case today, and after approving of the elk chew treat at the store he carried it all the way home and wouldn't let go even throughout his paw washing. We've also found the K9 sport sac's here after having to upgrade from the one he's had as a puppy. Very useful for hiking trips and cycling!

Gunner, the owner, was incredibly helpful and patient. He took the time to walk me through the different options, explain what goes into each product, and even break down the benefits for my dogs. You don't get that level of service often, it felt honest, not like a sales pitch. After seeing everything in person, there's no comparison to the big brands pushing "healthy" with aggressive marketing. This is the real deal

This is the absolute best food you can give your dog! The owners treat their clients (humans and…read moredogs) like family; they get to know your name and your furry friends' names too. The dog in my profile picture had all sorts of orthopedic problems due to his previous life style. We started him on Maxota and never looked back. If there were two things I never had to worry about with my little guy, it was his digestive system or his coat. Now that he has gone to doggy heaven my wife and I occasionally foster dogs, and the first place we go is here for his/her food. They also don't keep secrets, if you're in a pinch for food they will tell you what you need to feed your dog, how to prep it and why it is important. Not only will you get the best food, you can strike up a conversation about their food prep, canine digestive health, etc. Please, for the love of Fido, give this couple a try. You won't be disappointed.

I love this place and my dog does too. I used to make my dog food at home but this business and…read moretheir expertise has made me have one less thing to do every week or so and it's so nutritious for my dog and it makes me feel proactive for my dogs over all health and wellness. The staff here are so nice, kind, caring and knowledgeable and I appreciate them so much for the love and intention they pour into their dog food. On 10/23 I was also there around 4:30 and this woman walked in and immediately insulted the smell of the place (you're in a raw dog food shop) by saying 'it smells bad in here' and proceeded to stand there and look around while I was being checked out and also going over the reward system and the points I accumulated. We both looked at her kind of in shock, and I was helped out with the rest of my order. She then proceeds to reach over to right in front of me to take dog treats (that are made with love in house btw) and leave. There was no questions about what the place is about or inquiries about what the purpose of the shop was. Just a really rude comments and then proceeds to take free stuff and leave. I (being a human with eyes), reacts and says 'that was so incredibly rude', not weird, RUDE. BECAUSE IT WAS. as a customer and an objective person, I have a right to point out and speak about how incredibly rude and entitled that was. and we both were shocked that someone would walk into an establishment, complain about how it smells and then take free stuff and leave. The review down below giving this place a one star is not surprising given the interaction I witnessed but I just want to say is not at all my experience going here. These people are so caring and thoughtful and passionate. If raw dog food isn't your thing, that's fine but don't insult a passionate company and then complain like they did something to you. You came in with an attitude and then took it to the internet. Honestly crazy. Anyway, if you want your dog to love eating and be lean and healthy and have energy and support two passionate people who care about canine health and wellness, I 1000% recommend these wonderful people. I will never regret making the investment for my dogs health. I have an 11 year old chihuahua and she still seems like she's 5 because of her diet and I will forever praise and be grateful for these wonderful human beings

I wanted to shop around, see what was sold there today in the case I was interested in making a purchase or getting involved with products for my pet. I noted it smelled bad like fish, my dog was very interested in the scent and the employee rolled her eyes at me saying yeah fish was just made. For a pet business, I've never seen someone so mean to my dog who sat well behaved and looked at the older woman working. You would think she would inform us about fresh products.. especially as I am a neighborhood local. After a minute of looking around, I noticed a treat sample bowl and took one to leave with my dog. On the way out, the employee and client both made a very loud remark stating "how weird was that, wow and then taking a treat?" That I had walked in wanting to shop around, taking a sample treat next to a clipboard advertising them. Extremely poorly managed storefront having disgruntled employees speak that way/gossip about prospective customers. I'll never give my money to this business for anything here.
