I…read moredid my research and since we had so many things to pack into such a short time, I loved that Wendy offered the rapid tan (which I was skeptical about, but came out perfectly!) We corresponded via email about her tanning about 10 of my friends and family. She even traveled from Lahaina to Haiku to accommodate us! She was professional accommodating and so sweet. She tanned everyone! Myself, my husband, even my 85 year old grandmother who had never done it before but wasn't going to miss out on the fun! She explained post tan care, left pamphlets with instructions as reminders and seemed genuinely concerned that each of us were happy. She wouldn't leave without thoroughly inspecting my tan to make sure it was flawless for my big day! She even emailed me the morning of to wish me luck and to make sure I was happy with my results. That is going the extra mile. Long story short- my entire party loved Wendy. We used her post tan soap and moisturizer and I have NEVER had a tan last as long as this one did, it even faded as evenly as you could hope for. Thank you Wendy!!

I got an express tan because I didn't want to spend my precious time in Hawaii waiting for tanning solution to set before jumping in the water. I waited two hours (she said I could have kept it on for 3-4 hours but I was impatient). I took a water only shower (no tan developed yet but I used to own an airbrush tan salon so I knew not to panic) and then set off to the beach. My tan began to develop throughout the day. In my lengthy morning phone call with her, while I basically waited on the phone while she talked to herself back and forth about what time would be best for her and the "logistics", she said that if I wanted a morning appointment the following day, that would be best for her. I told her 7:30 the next morning was fine and gave her my hotel info. She called later that evening and left a vmail that we "have to talk to get organized for tomorrow." I didn't get that message until the next morning. So she was a no show, and then didn't reply to any of my texts or calls. Oh, but she butt-dialed me mid-day. Awesome. Life went on; I wasn't perfectly bronzed for our family beach portraits but who cares. I'm glad I wasn't counting on her for my wedding day or something more important. Brides beware! Some artists just overdo it and I end up looking like I tried too hard and my face feels like I've got layers of cake on it. But not Melissa! She has that touch where she can just literally make you look like "I woke up like dis!" and she's got awesome technique and airbrushing skills where I barely felt like I had anything on my face.
