Though it was 3 hrs in advance I should commend that her makeup survived going home and then the photo shoot location and even light drizzle. She was very accommodating with what wife wanted with her hair and skin tones for blush/ lipstick. I loved her look. It was total $120 for makeup including lashes and $65 for hair ( basic heat treatment and curling) Amanda is very polite and easy to work with. I'd recommend her to anyone who is looking to get hair or makeup done while on island. Note- they do not offer ani/ pedi service anymore. The parking is behind the building. In my lengthy morning phone call with her, while I basically waited on the phone while she talked to herself back and forth about what time would be best for her and the "logistics", she said that if I wanted a morning appointment the following day, that would be best for her. I told her 7:30 the next morning was fine and gave her my hotel info. She called later that evening and left a vmail that we "have to talk to get organized for tomorrow." I didn't get that message until the next morning. So she was a no show, and then didn't reply to any of my texts or calls. Oh, but she butt-dialed me mid-day. Awesome. Life went on; I wasn't perfectly bronzed for our family beach portraits but who cares. I'm glad I wasn't counting on her for my wedding day or something more important. Brides beware! Some artists just overdo it and I end up looking like I tried too hard and my face feels like I've got layers of cake on it. But not Melissa!
