I recently moved to Georgia late last year and this is the clinic closest to where I live now, and…read moreonly went here because it's the one that my in-laws take their cats to. Also worth noting: I previously worked in an animal clinic prior to my move, and needed records for my partner's cat sent up to our clinic from them. Our medical manager and receptionist called and even emailed Pet Vet more than once - and they never received his records. I had to get old printed copies from my partners parents just to make sure the cat wasn't getting vaccines it already had and wasn't due for boosters for. So I was already a bit skeptical of their professionalism, just from this alone. I have two cats that I will no longer be taking here. They got their shots for the year done, no issue there, I needed some concerns addressed and for the most part that went fine. However: with my younger cat that was to-be-neutered: at his first exam with them, they needed to get him to stop purring so they could get his heart rate. There are plenty of ways to do this, either by putting some rubbing alcohol on a swab so they cringe at the smell and cease purring, or running water in the same room as them. For whatever reason though, the techs that were trying to do this with him instead opted to completely plug his nose and prevent him from breathing??? I wanted to interject and tell them not to do that but didn't want to come off like I was telling them how to do their job, but my cat wasn't obviously distressed and squirming away from them, and then they just kept restraining him even harder. It was absolutely unnessecary and left a very bad taste in my mouth from that point on. I will be looking at other animal hospitals for future care. Hopefully the techs don't still do this to get cats to stop purring and hopefully they are a little more responsive to people that need documents sent across clinics.

I'm iffy about this place. I took my cat there maybe? 3 times and I've always felt uneasy but I…read morecouldn't find anywhere else to take my cat. :( They are unprofessional and it's always loud (dogs barking) when you enter because they have the dog kennels where they keep the dogs right in the "waiting area". This can obviously stress out the cats. Also, when I drop my cat off they leave her on the ground right in the waiting area. One time I asked how my cat did and the owner said she was a b**ch. I mean, stuff like that you don't say to your customers and that's very unprofessional. Even if my cat was mean, it could have been said in a different way. Also, when I said I felt uneasy, it's because I felt like thy were mean to my cat. Anyways, I am sooo very happy and relieved to not go back to this place anymore. (I wasn't going to anyway.) I found an actual vet place that is award winning and offers cat grooming services. They charge more but it's worth every penny to have peace of mind for me and my fur baby.

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would! But since you're required to leave a star to do a review, I…read moreunfortunately had no choice. Google reviews are giving this place a 4.6 star rating and all I want to do is WARN people please DO NOT take any of your furbabies here! A friend of mine took their doodle and their sweet baby came home with a terrible haircut, BUT I wish I could say that is all their furbaby came home with but unfortunately their sweet dog also came home with gashes and cuts all over his body!! To top it all off, these incompetent people will not answer any calls or texts from my friends regarding this heartbreaking situation! My friends dog is now traumatized, withdrawn, very anxious, and visibly shaken from how he was treated by these people. Animals do not have a voice to take up for themselves. We have to be their voices. So I am taking a stand and posting this review. These people are HORRIBLE and need to have their licensure REVOKED! Pet parents, beware! And please DO NOT TAKE YOUR FURBABIES TO THESE PEOPLE!!!

We explained to Lisa about his past and even explained that we had been asked to not bring him back by other groomers due to his aggression and how we like his hair to be cut and she agreed to do him. She spent way longer then she had to to make sure he was as relaxed as possible and did the best job we've seen yet. We are so excited that she will come to our house to take care of him. Her rates are very fair given the time she spends and the job she does. If you have a fur-baby that needs any type of service you have to give her a call!!
