The group walks have been really good for Liesel's confidence, not to mention she absolutely adores Suzanne (we met her by chance on a walk the other day, and Liesel was desperate to leave with her rather than me...). Suzanne has a lovely calm, confident presence and we trust her completely. She even gave us a wee framed picture of Liesel out on one of her walks for Christmas... Highly highly recommend!!

Since that first trip, Anna has indeed been my go-to cat sitter. The girls love her, she handles their finicky (and pretty gross) raw food like a pro, heck - she even vacuumed my house last time she was in! But most importantly: I trust her completely with my furballs and always return to happy/healthy feline monsters. What's more, she is possibly the EASIEST person to work with in the WHOLE DAMN WORLD. Case in point: I messaged her this morning because I had forgot to book a cat sitter for a work trip... that begins tomorrow. She replied (as per usual) within 30 minutes and got me out of yet another jam. Best damn £8 a day I will EVER EVER spend! I cannot say enough good things about The Cat Lady!

Dr. Lindsey and her wonderful staff at Happy Pets give us that same level of personalized care that I worried I might miss. If I pop in for food for our kitty with a sensitive tum, they ask how all three (my husband brought 1 cat to the party!) are getting along, they always ask after our kitty with IBS - the one that gives them the most trouble, and genuinely care for all our little wards. They are always looking for solutions and open to trying new products and approaches. The entire staff is clearly passionate about their work, the vet techs are very knowledgeable and keep up with latest information in fields like veterinary nutrition - which can be pretty rare to find. One of the best things is knowing that I can call them and get measured advice, instead of a quick 'bring her in' - more often then not, the reply is 'keep an eye on her, and call back in a day or two'. I trust them to give us the best possible and appropriate care for our little napper-hunters. I endlessly appreciate all Happy Pets has done for us over the last 10 months and highly recommend them to anyone in need of trusted care for their furry friends.

Headed here for our annual 'torture of my cat' that is, vaccination time!…read more The staff were lovely and let me open the carrier in the waiting room as it was evening and they weren't expecting anyone soon. My baby had a little roam around while we waited, which was fantastic as she gets stressed in her carrier. The actual checkup/vaccinations were painless and Dr. Lindsey was very patient with my typical over-protective, super paranoid fur-mama demeanour (yes I said fur-mama, I have come to terms with what I am). Unfortunately the checkup revealed that a tooth extraction was required so a few weeks later we returned. Everything went off without a hitch and I now have a happy cat with one less tooth. The surgery is clean and comfortable. There's plenty of bits and bobs on sale in the reception area for your fun needs (a post vet treat perhaps?) and the receptionists are efficient and lovely. They also have some reasonable opening hours that suited me as I work out of the city and am carless. Would definitely head here again!

You'll need to be buzzed into this building, and then you'll be introduced to the kittys looking for a home. You'll be greeted by a member of staff who will be able to introduce you to the cats. Most of them are located in one room which has small pens as well as a few cats who are free to run about.

It was so nice to see kennels which were clean, and full of normal family pets as we visited some in the area which were smelly and had a lot of rescue dogs in - I know not their fault but some were very unruly. You came recommended and I wouldnt hesitate to pass on your number. Well done and thank you once again from Maisey and Smokey.

This shop has lots of choices, be it for your pets healthy diet or a fashionable cage thaye it can call home. The staff was really helpful last time I needed to exchange an item. They even keep life stock, like rabbits and hamsters. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing. Having said this, I got my hamster from one of their stores and it was in perfect health. Im sure that if you need advise buying a living animal their staff will be quite knowledgeable and helpful.

Compared to other big pet shops Pets at Home score by letting dogs into the store (we get extrra animals to interact with!), mammal welfare seems very good, and they take responsibility by having an adoption area for rehoming unwanted pets -impressed! On a recent visit, we were even offered a significant amount of petcare equipment for FREE - again, staff couldn't do enou for us and even offered follow-up visits to our establishment to check all was well!! Must single out Pam for uber-helpfulness and commonsense, but general helpfulness level is great, everyone has time for you.

First off, everything from that first review still rings true - so browse it for ordering details. They changed suppliers recently and the girls occasionally turn their nose at it but I put that on the cats being brats than anything. It it still HANDS DOWN the cheapest place to source local raw pet food. No contest. So if everything holds true from the first review, why the five stars? Because sure, a great price and delivery goes a huge way towards my fandom, but where Nisbet won me over was with the people behind the business. The owner (one of them?) delivers the food to your door and unlike most people who shove a box in your hand and take off, he's always up for a quick chat. Over the course of the past 18 months he has taught me a fair deal about Scottish history, tidbits about the towns surrounding Edinburgh and even put me onto a couple traditional recipes. He's so delightful, that I actually look forward to this delivery every month. It's good pet food with AMAZING people behind it - if you feed your furballs raw, you'd be hard pressed to find lovelier people to supply it.

This place sells everything your pet will never really need, but you'll want to spoil them with anyways.
