Since I've moved here I've been using Ingliston Cattery and Kennels exclusively. I have considered…read moreother catteries around Edinburgh but none seem to offer the same value for money and service as this one. I don't have a car, so transporting animals is out of the question (we occasionally get the bus to the vets but that is a bloody nightmare I can tell you.) Luckily Ingliston Cattery offers a 'Pet Taxi' service! They come to my flat at a specified time and pick up The Cat then deliver her back when I'm home from my 'holidays' (when did going home become my holidays?!) Admittedly the timing/communication on a few of these pick ups and drop offs has been a little off, but overall it's been fairly good. The Cat comes back in good shape, well fed and usually in decent mood. I am generally updated in great detail (sometimes too much detail...I don't keep track of her 'leavings' they do...) My continued custom speaks for itself!

Hired Ruth as a pet sitter at my home for 2 weeks whilst we were away on holiday. Had a trial run…read morefor a couple of days to make sure it was a good fit which went well. However returning from our holiday we found that our bunnies have done extensive damage in a room. I did a walkthrough and left instructions prior and made it clear what areas the pets were allowed and they were not to be left unsupervised. The room they wrecked was a no-go zone and they must have been left alone for quite a while as they chewed all the way through the carpet in more than one location along with other items. Will have to replace them all and all I got was a sorry with no qualms about taking the full amount of money for the pet sitting. Avoid!

Was such a relief to not put Lady in cattery as she doesn't fair well being taken away from home. Needless to say I came back to a very happy and content cat.
