Amy and Lillian are kind, experienced, and genuinely want you to be a better partner to your dog. I also really appreciate the post-session recaps they'd send, along with links to resources. I can see major differences in Momo's behavior; she knows that she can trust me and relax because I'm more knowledgeable about her limits and triggers, and it's given me a HUGE sense of relief and lessened anxiety around walks, strangers, and visitors. Highly recommend Behave Atlanta to everyone! (This is the same review I left on Google, in case you see it there as well)

We had tried other trainers before to no avail, and were still completely at our wits end on how to help our dog and to make sure she wasn't a harm to other people or dogs. Amy and Lillian were absolutely wonderful in giving us the tools to support our dog (they trained us as much as they did Peanut :) ). We no longer have to walk with our heads on a swivel and can finally have guests over without worrying! Amy and Lillian prioritize positive reinforcement which we loved and was so effective for our dog. We would see them forever if we could to reinforce the good behaviors our dog has learned!

The primary instruction was getting your dog's attention, the commands - sit, down, off, leave it, drop it and loose leash walking. Overall I was pleased with the overall instruction and experience. They did a good job of making sure the dogs didn't invade another dog's space. Homework was sent out each week to work on in sessions with the dog and this helped prepare for the next week's session. Would recommend.

We signed up for the two week board and train as a last effort with minimal expectation. All I can say is WOW!!! Tracy has been exceptional from start to finish and the follow up after he was home was icing on the cake! She followed up daily to give us a report with photos and videos and continued to check in for weeks! We have the sweetest dog and our family could not be happier with our decision to put our pup into doggie school here!! The grounds are sprawling and beautiful, the staff is friendly, and the value far exceeded my expectations. We paid $995 per week, so about 2K total. I looked at some other programs which were about 2,800 with kinda crappy looking properties and very pushy sales people. We are forever grateful to ADT and Tracy! Thank you for our "new" dog!

Canine PhD - Buzz loving training and confidence boosting exercises at Canine PhD with Betty :)

My dog Buzz and I absolutely loved working with Betty at Canine PhD!…read more After reading so many glowing reviews for Canine PhD, I decided to give them a try after looking for positive reinforcement trainers near us in Decatur. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made for both Buzz and me! Buzz struggles with anxiety and reacts nervously when new people approach, especially on walks or in public places like restaurant patios. From our very first session, Betty made both of us feel comfortable and confident. She immediately recommended a no-pull harness that made a huge difference. Walking Buzz and his corgi brother, Phil, is finally fun again! I truly missed our morning walks, and it feels amazing to enjoy them again without constantly worrying about Buzz pulling away or Phil getting loose because my attention was elsewhere. What stood out most is that Betty doesn't just train dogs -- she trains their owners, too. She helped me learn how to communicate more clearly and understand what Buzz is feeling. Betty gave us exercises to build trust and confidence. He's already such a happy pup, but he lit up even more during each session, as you can see in his picture! You could tell how proud he was every time he got something right. The whole experience strengthened our bond even more, and I ended up enjoying training far more than I ever expected. Betty also gave us fantastic techniques to help Buzz stay calm when meeting new people, both out in public and at home. He's learned that his bed is his "safe spot," and now he'll go there on his own when guests arrive until he's ready to say hello. It's been such a big, wonderful change seeing him so much more relaxed and secure. We did three sessions at Canine PhD and three at home, which was the perfect balance. It gave us the chance to practice in both structured and real-life settings, and between sessions, we had Betty's helpful homework to reinforce what we were learning and keep us progressing even outside of training. The pricing was very reasonable and the value we got from the training far exceeded what we paid. What I appreciated most was Betty's honesty and empathy. She set realistic expectations right from the start, explaining that this wouldn't be a quick fix -- and she was right. Some dogs are just naturally more anxious, but she gave us the tools and confidence to help Buzz make real progress. I can't recommend Betty and Canine PhD enough! She's a wonderful person! Super patient, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping both dogs and their humans succeed. If you're looking for a trainer who truly understands behavior, builds trust, and brings out the best in you and your pup, Betty is the one to call!

Enter Royal Paws Nationwide Pet Transportation. This is a service whose time is long overdue. They have been in business since 2000, however, I was unaware of them until this year. They are incredible. Only your pets are transported in an SUV or minivan that has been outfitted for their comfort with their beds, toys, blankets, whatever. The drivers switch driving so they are not stopping at hotels. The transit time for our pets was only 1.5 days. They were picked up and dropped off exactly on time, we received texts and photos along the way, and Hugh and Nola were available for phone calls at any time if we'd wanted to do that. It is quite obvious that both Hugh and Nola are pet people. They stop frequently to feed, water, and walk the dogs, never around other animals, and they treated them as their own. Fantastic folks! The process is thorough during the booking, worryfree during the transit and the cost is entirely appropriate. I cannot provide a higher recommendation for this company. They are great!

While on the phone the staff made me feel right at home. M Upon arriving I noticed it's a small facility right off 78. They are super into Covid precautions which I love! Signs everywhere in parking spots which inform you of procedures to confirm you have arrived for your appointment. They have questionnaires for you to check as far as your covid status. It's pretty cool and gives you that nice family vet feeling. All the staff were friendly and helped our little guy get acquainted with his shots and check up. The Dr was kind and attentive. Definitely 5 star customer service. The only reason for the 4 stars was due to a few things being missed on the visit - I inquired about his itchy skin and didn't receive resolution or recommendation. - the puppy had unusual puppy breath and I don't believe this was checked or recommendation made. - was told he would get his puppy kit and didn't revive that. These are totally minor things and I'm sure will be resolved when he returns for his next batch of vaccines. Again, service was awesome and I'm sure we'll come to get well acquainted with one another.

They scammed my friend. Here is her post I copied and pasted from FaceBook:…read moreI have been scammed from Blue Ridge and they have put my dog in serious danger from risk of Parvo while telling me everything was fine. They trained my dog Daenerys to be a SD or so they said. She behaved for them and in our 'weekly lessons' but came home not obeying, which I understand I have to learn to be stern with her. They would not train any of the tasks to commands, just cues, even though I asked them to be commands in case she doesn't do or recognize the cues. And when I brought these to their attention, I was told I need training and that it was my fault she still stalked and chased the cats, or hardly ever listened to me. But! When she reached 6 months and started to go into her fear stages I was simply told "She doesn't do it with us. She's fine in public" And they did not try to help her train it out those periods. She has developed a growling habit if people approach us too fast or if someone walks in the door while she's sleeping (math class and library) as well as bark and growl at people that come over. This is a fear response not aggression as her body language shows and a behaviorist has told me. I have had to pull her out of public access. However when the problems were taken to Laura and later Eve, the people she left in charge when she moved half way across the country, the problems were ignored. I sent a youtube video of what the dog was doing, no answer for 3 days. I finally reviewed them on their FB page and they BLOCKED me, so my friend tried, and they removed reviews. While in the middle of a business contract... This is bad business. In response, they have said that my money was given to Laura not them, so they don't have any contract with me and that because she was doing good with them, the dog is ready and relieved of the contract anyways. When clearly the dog is not ready and the growling was ignored. Along with this, and this is the mal-practice, I gave Laura money for the dogs third set of shots since she was boarding with them at the time and Laura said she would handle it. I was told that the dog had her shots, and then later the 4th set and Rabies. Later when I went to obtain vet records from her, the vet she used claimed the dog never had her third or fourth parvo shot. The vet never gave her any sets of shots but Rabies.... My money was taken and the dog put at risk without ever telling me as they said she had all of her shots. She was also sick with the runs every time she returned from there. It turned out to be Coccidia, which they said she had there but it was treated. My vet contacted her vet, and the 'treatment' was ONE pill to fix the Coccidia, a treatment my vet said would not cure Coccidia as it takes an entire bottle and time. This business hides behind its few instances of success, and deletes or blocks any negative reviews or publicity it gets in order to continue to gain Service Dog Clients in order to make money ($1800 if you have your own dog, $4000 if they have to raise a puppy for you.) They train them too young (my dog was taken at 13wks)with questionable methods (prong and e-collar on puppies) with the contract for 6 months telling you that they can train your dog to be an SD within 6 months (most places is 2 years). Then if the dog continues to have issues where the contract says more time would be given, they proceed to ignore those issues and block you if you cause trouble. Blue Ridge Working K9 is a scam and I hope no one else falls into the same trap that I did. Of course if you're here, it may already be too late.
