If you're anywhere near Rockledge and don't stop at Whistle Stop Café, that's a personal mistake…read moreyou'll regret. This place is pure charm from the moment you walk in--warm, welcoming, and exactly the kind of spot that makes you believe small-town gems still exist. There's a reason they were just named Best Restaurant in Rockledge... and honestly, it's about time. Now let's talk about the real stars: the ladies who run this place. Kind doesn't even cover it. Friendly, attentive, genuine--like they actually care that you're there (wild concept, right?). The service alone would have earned five stars. But here's where they went above and beyond: I lost my wallet before heading out on a cruise. Panic mode activated. Turns out, the amazing women at Whistle Stop Café found it and safely kept it for me until I returned. Everything intact. Zero drama. Just pure integrity and kindness. So yes--great food, adorable location, and well-earned local awards. But what really makes Whistle Stop Café special is the heart behind it. This place doesn't just serve meals; it restores your faith in people. Go hungry. Leave happy. And maybe double-check your pockets--but if you don't, you're in the best hands possible.

Stopped in here while visiting the area. I thought the food was OK, nothing special. The French…read moretoast was kind of odd, had nuts despite not being advertised to have nuts, and was burnt on the underside. The fried potatoes were tasty, but could have been fried a bit more. The coffee wasn't great at all. Overall it was an ok place but didn't stand out as anything special.

Per their website: "After 20 years in our previous location…read morein Cocoa Village as Murdock's Southern Bistro, our lease was not renewed. So what did we do? We bought the old Norman's Raw Bar right at the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic!! It has been a challenge, but after a full renovation, we're proud to present you Tin Whiskey Southern Kitchen & Still". Murdock's was a solid place for good food and good weekend live entertainment. Their new place here, "Tin Whiskey Southern Kitchen & Grill" is now in a more visible location with more space, especially outside where a huge wraparound covered patio includes both table seating as well as bar seating. I ordered their Traditional Philly Cheesesteak ($13.99), which consisted of shaved ribeye, peppers, onions, mushrooms & provolone. (Swap the shaved ribeye for your choice of catfish, cod or chicken). A side was included so I chose the sweet potato fries - which were actually more correctly sweet "tater tots". I ordered a Red Lager IPA for my drink ($6.00). My sandwich came out steaming hot, and was very good. The sweet potatoes were tasty, and the red lager was cold and refreshing. Jason was an excellent employee checking in on us throughout our lunch. I'm going with a strong 4 stars and am looking forward to returning on a Tuesday to try their tacos and take advantage of their Taco Tuesday special. Stop by and check them out.

We had a fairly large party and our server was great. She handled us all and was top notch. We sat outside in the covered patio but it did not feel like being outside. Yes the sun was setting and right on us but it was still comfortable out there. The food was good. Started out with the artichoke hearts. Would have liked a few more hearts rather than the petals but over all very good. I got the buffalo grilled cheese and it had some good flavors and loaded with chicken. My lady got the spinach goat cheese and walnut salad with shrimp and she loved every bite of it. Will definitely stop in there again when in the area and maybe when it's a little cooler and really enjoy the outside patio. Plus it's right near the cocoa village with the shops to stroll around
