Everything went extremely well! I'm a returning customer and very happy with Tim's customer…read moreservice, knowledge, and technical skills. I initially called on AT Appliance in 2020 to service my refrigerator motor. When my refrigerator was leaking water this time (6 years later) I found my previous receipt of service and called AT Appliance again. They were very responsive and scheduled me for next day service. Tim called me before his arrival and was able to repair the leak and also returned today to replace the water dispenser part that I requested. Looking at my previous receipt from 2020 it turned out Tim was the same technician that helped me back in 2020. I was pleased to realize this and also to experience the same quality work that was done back then. Tim really went above and beyond to deliver reliable quality service. His work is honest with transparency, clean and organized. I appreciate reading reviews of other customer's true experiences and wanted to make sure to write this review to share with others that are looking for a creditable appliance service. I highly recommend Tim's service.

They were polite, professional, reasonably priced, and very patient for payment (our fault hehe). The -1 star is only for the fact that the correct diagnosis was one that chatGPT suggested (a faulty coil) as opposed to their more expensive original diagnosis of a faulty valve. Thanks AI! This is the second time we've used their services and will continue to do so, as alas these older but more reliable machines of ours are starting to show their age.

I tried to troubleshoot the best I could…read morebut no amount of cleaning the coils and resetting the fridge was fixing my issue (fridge was no longer keeping cool but freezer worked perfectly). I looked for help on Yelp and came across the numerous positive reviews for Marcello and figured I'd reach out to see if he could help get my issue fixed. I try to work with people who are a small business and thought Marcello sounded like a good gamble. I contacted Marcello in the late afternoon of Wednesday and he came later that same day to diagnose the problem. Showed up on time, figured out the issue, and told me he would order the part in the morning and come back the next day to fix it. Literally exactly what happened. No fluffs, no upselling, cleaned up after himself, was professional on the phone and in person, and just told me what to expect and that's how he delivered. Service call was $75 and it would be applied towards the repair. I knew that was fair based on cost of gas, travel time, his knowledge of appliance repair, and the time to diagnose and repair the problem. My parts cost was roughly $200 and since I paid in cash I received a little discount as well. I would absolutely recommend Marcello to my family, neighbors and friends. His contact info is saved into my phone now so I will for sure give him a call for any future appliance repairs. He's definitely 5 stars . Thank you Marcello!!

I called around on Saturday and Philip at PKC was the only one who was able to make it there on the same day. He was responsive to both call and text. I suspect that the Yelp area is not quite accurate, since Philip mentioned that he covers over into Norwalk as well, but certainly on both sides of the LA and Orange counties. He estimated that he would arrive between 6 and 7 PM, and did so at 6:45 (still in the time window). During the visit he was very direct, no-nonsense, quickly identified the inverter issue, had a replacement part on hand, and was able to install and confirm functioning in about 45 minutes. The final cost was $350, in line with his estimate, and a bit below some quoted prices I got from other vendors. I was quite satisfied with the communication, ability to identify and repair the issue, and overall value. I have mentioned Philip to my neighbors in case they have an issue. Philip is able to service other appliances (except for AC units, though he knows someone else who specializes in that).

One was a controller for the compressor, and the other was some sort of circuit board. I did not trust the repair person so I paid the $89 visit and declined the suggested service. We then found PKC online and called them 10 minutes later (5PM yesterday). He said he would be at our home in 40 minutes. Phillip arrived within the time promised and within minutes determined the issue was the compressor controller. He had it with him, installed it, and our fridge was up and running. The other circuit board did not need replacing. I asked him if the coils needed cleaning. He looked at them and said, "they are clean, no need." Total cost $450 which included the $50 visit. Done. Fair, Highly recommend Phillip. Will be calling him for all appliance needs from now on.

We scheduled a time for the repair and he gave me a one-hour window and arrived right on time. The repair was done in minutes. Other places I called wanted to charge me up front for a "service call." This guy Tom was paid almost $200 dollars to come out and repair our GE microwave some years ago…read more He said, "he had to take the microwave with him and bring it back to diagnose it properly". Now, at the time we didn't know anything about microwave diagnostics. The only thing that was not working was the heat and it made a loud buzzing sound. The lights, fan, clock, etc., worked just fine. Since we purchased this as part of our remodel and got all products GE for the kitchen, we left it there. However, Tom brought it back (more than just a couple of days) and said, "it is probably the capacitor or the magnetron - which is too expensive to fix, and you might as well purchase a new one". Well, we purchased another one and put that one in a different room to use and just used this other for the fan, clock and light. Forward, I learned how to diagnose these things and found out right away that he stole our working GE magnetron (which has been replace by a Samsung one) with a NON-working LG one. No one else has ever worked on this microwave. Contacted Tom and he gave really immature responses, which were not ever real responses. He argued and basically texted me a flip off finger and told me in words to "F- off!". I would not recommend him for anything. He may have done right with another man or a head of household, but if you are single and or elderly - don't even bother with this guy. The positive comments on him are probably his relatives. Do you see he doesn't supply a license number on the cards/stickers he leaves you with? He is a scammer! He installed an LG and that part number shows non-compatible with any other brand besides LG! This has been verified by both companies.

He is professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and communicates clearly throughout the process. His prices are always fair and reasonable. Davis first helped us resolve a cooling issue with our Sub-Zero refrigerator. More recently, he repaired our LG dryer by replacing the heating element. Shortly after the repair, our dryer began making loud noises. Davis was quick to respond and came back to investigate. He discovered a separate issue that was completely unrelated to the original heating repair. As a courtesy, he replaced the drum belt at no additional charge. We truly appreciate his professionalism, honesty, fair pricing, excellent workmanship, and commitment to customer service. We highly recommend Davis and will continue to call him for our appliance repair needs!

We contacted Davis Repair about our Thermador freezer approximately five months ago. At the time,…read morehe was professional and pleasant. I specifically asked whether replacing the recommended parts would actually resolve the problem or whether we would be better off purchasing a new refrigerator. He assured me that once the part and the freezer lock were replaced, the issue would be resolved. Based on that assurance, we followed his recommendations and spent approximately $2,500 on the repairs. Fast-forward, last week, the freezer was again not working properly. I contacted him because, naturally, we were frustrated after having spent that amount of money. Instead of acknowledging our frustration, his response was, "It's not like it broke down in 2 or 3 days, it took 5 months." He came out again last week and charged us another $658. Unfortunately, the freezer still did not work properly after the service. The check has already been cashed, and we have now decided to purchase a new refrigerator. What is most disappointing to me is not simply the money we spent, but the fact that I specifically asked five months ago whether we should repair the refrigerator or replace it. I relied on his professional recommendation, spent approximately $2,500 following that recommendation, and ultimately ended up needing a new refrigerator anyway. I have already communicated my concerns to him and left the decision regarding the most recent payment with him. In my view, when a customer spends thousands of dollars following a repair recommendation and the underlying problem ultimately remains unresolved, it is reasonable to expect the service provider to acknowledge the customer's frustration and stand behind the work. My experience was that the interaction was pleasant as long as everything was going according to his expectations, but when I raised concerns about the results of the repair, I felt my frustration was not handled professionally. I am sharing this experience so other customers can make an informed decision before spending a significant amount of money on repairs for a Thermador refrigerator or freezer and I wish instead of relying on his advice I researched the issue more to see that maybe repair was not the way to go.
