I got the spicy tonkotsu ramen and the broth was amazing. Just the right amount of heat to provide a strong flavor, but not so much that you lose the taste of everything else. I got it with the pork and there was a ton! I also got a lychee green tea with lychee boba and it was one of the best I've had, ever. This was a delivery, so I can't comment on the ambiance, however, they gave a little hang tag so that it's easy to order again the next time. I'm not from here, but I would come back!

I got the dumplings and the spring rolls to start and they were delicious. I got the Yamato 'burger' also and it was good too. It was a little sweet and reminded me a bit of salty cha su in a pita. - Just know it's not an American burger before you order it. Ming explained this to me before so I was prepared. :) My friend got the ramen bowl with spicy miso and ribeye and said it was amazing with the perfect amount of spice. Another friend got the Crab poke bowl, she said it was good with different textures. Everything we ate was good! The atmosphere was relaxing (we were seated in the corner booth).

The kimchi fries are pretty good, and the corn dog is tasty as well, although it's a bit on the pricey side. My favorite banh mi is the charbroiled pork. It is very flavorful. One of my co-workers just brought it in with him. The salmon was still cold and the salad was fresh and crisp. The standard flavors were perfect and I don't have to add any soy or other flavorings. Even the price was reasonable for the quality. I would highly recommend and will definitely come back.

Alright, alright, alright! We found a sushi spot near home -- finally!…read more I genuinely thought we'd tracked down every option in the area, but this one slipped right past me. Maybe "Poke Bowl" in the name threw off my searches -- who knows -- but I'm just glad it finally showed up. It's a small, tucked-away spot in the corner of a strip shopping center, easy to miss if you're not looking for it. Inside, there's a handful of small tables plus mostly counter service, but if you time it right, you can snag a seat at the sushi bar -- it holds maybe 8 to 10 people. And since we're firm believers that sushi night means service, that's exactly where Patrick steered us. He took great care of us all night: walking us through the restaurant's history, offering up solid suggestions, and turning out incredible sushi with genuinely great energy the whole time. Beer's the only drink option here, so if you're after a fancy date night with sake or craft cocktails, you'll want to head further into town. But for a laid-back night with a couple of cold ones, this place absolutely delivers. The sushi itself, though? Fresh, and every single piece was delicious. Honestly, I can't even remember everything we ordered -- most of it was Patrick asking what flavors we liked and just going for it, which is exactly how it should be done. One roll I do remember requesting was the Hardin Valley Roll, and it was a fantastic pick. We'll absolutely be back. And next time I'm craving sushi to go, this is who I'm calling -- no more grocery store sushi for me, ever again.

Their spicy level is actually quite modest here, I thought that 3 would be pretty intense but it wasn't as in-your-face spicy as I expected. Going up to a 5 seems risky though, so I wonder if I go again whether they would find something in the middle for me! Otherwise maybe I'll just be brave enough for a 5... The side dishes/banchan were tasty, not too much vinegar or spice or chili flakes in any of them. They had all my favorites but the potatoes were unexpectedly crunchy or crispy (I'm used to the fully soft preparation), and the cucumber side dish overly drenched in marinade. The radish, kimchi, and bean sprouts were perfect though. Their range of flavors for the soju was good, and the yogurt flavor soju was just the right amount of sweet to dry ratio. The japchae was prepared well, the noodles were cooked properly to a tender texture and the chicken was thin but juicy. The server was friendly and helpful, though was busy with other customers and didn't remember to offer refills until asked. Very tiny issue and not nearly serious enough to dock a star. We got there around 7pm and it wasn't too busy, got seated right away at a table near their bar (so for solo diners you don't have to sit at a table, there is a bar section). Love the cute lighting fixtures, light noise (easy to have a conversation without fighting over the music or other people talking) and the spacious seating. Lots of parking as well in the plaza. Overall I am looking forward to trying the rest of their hot plate dishes next, now that I know their soup is legit.

We were seated right away, and it was neither loud nor crowded. A quick note on price. This is not cheap Korean food, and that is not a complaint. In my experience good Asian food rarely is, and you can taste where the money goes here. I had the beef bulgogi and the yuk gae jang. The bulgogi was amazing. It came out on a sizzling cast iron platter absolutely loaded with thinly sliced beef, mushrooms, onion, and scallion, with sesame seeds on top. Some places bury you in vegetables and hide a few scraps of meat underneath. Not here. It was all meat with the vegetables as a supporting act. Deeply flavorful, sweet and savory with a bit of char from the plate, and tender enough to eat without working at it. The yuk gae jang was also excellent. It arrived volcanically hot and took a hot minute to cool to something I could actually eat, but once it did, this was honestly the best soup I have had in a while. Shredded beef, soybean sprouts, scallion, strands of egg, and a broth with real depth under the heat rather than just chili for its own sake. The banchan deserve their own mention. Kimchi with good crunch and a proper fermented tang, soy glazed potatoes that were tender with a sweet, salty, sesame coating, pickled cucumber that was cool and snappy, crisp white radish cubes that reset your palate between bites, seasoned soybean sprouts with a little chili heat, and a bowl of perfectly cooked rice in a lidded stainless bowl. Nothing on the table felt like an afterthought. Service was solid throughout. Five out of five, and I am already thinking about what to order next time.
