We had a wonderful experience with Ms. Karen at K Peas this past weekend. It was our first time in and our friend invited us for a small open play season to celebrate her son's birthday. An AMAZING indoor playplace for small kids! I've been to an open play session here and decided to book K Peas Place for my son's first birthday. During open play, there is teacher-led music and play. Then the kids can run around the playroom for the rest of the session. There are houses, small toys (like trains, cars, dolls, action figures), ride in and ride on toys (tricycles, bikes, wagons, Lil Tikes big red car, roller coaster), a reading corner, and a tree house/slide combo that kids can climb and then slide down. The entire room is closed, so parents can sit in one place and still be able to keep watch on their kids. When you book a birthday party, you get the entire venue to yourself. You get 30 minutes for setup in addition to your session. Miss Karen helped with the balloon arch and the backdrop, which helps A LOT! I only had to bring in our food, desserts, and supplies, and everything came together seamlessly and quickly. She also curated a kid-friendly music playlist and set out toys that catered to our party theme: race cars! She really went above and beyond for welcoming our guests and making our party a success. I highly recommend bringing your little ones to K Peas Place. It's a wonderful place to bring your kids in inclement weather and need some time outside your house. My son and I met Karen (the owner) through a neighborhood class she held years ago with my first baby, who was then about 8 months old, and I began making the 30 min drive to go to her location after that. That same boy is now almost 5 and while on spring break asked me to go back to kpeas on his day off to join my daughter and I who is almost 3, as we still go regularly. They both enjoy the class and having play time in her space..however, I felt compelled today to finally review as I have been meaning to in the past because being there reminded me as a mom I know we must prioritize money a lot of the time and the activities we choose and my kids simply liking going isn't the reason I go .. a free park with friends (both mine and the kids) is a nice option a lot of the time but the reason I pay and take them here is that I find myself longing for connecting time with them that isn't distracted by the need to connect with my friends and my kids running off being focused on their friends. At home a lot of the time I find myself doing chores while they are on a screen or trying to play but getting distracted by my phone. This is specifically time for MY KIDS AND I to bond, snuggle, sing and love! I leave feeling like I didn't just pay for a jumping place to wear them out or a theme park to ride rides. It's quality time that is solely dedicated to them and I truly think it benefits both of us and I'm thankful to Karen for creating this experience. read more

K Peas Place is an indoor kids zone designed for the four and under crowd. There are a number of big play pieces including a tree house, roller coaster, puppet area, kitchen and a tool area. Other toys at K Peas include a large collection of small Thomas trains, buildings and tracks, stuffed animals and small cars and wagons kids can sit in and drive or pull. K Peas has a small reading corner with books and bean bag chairs. There is also a zone for arts and crafts but no one really worked there while we visited. K Peas is very clean and has a number of rules to keep it that way. For one, as soon as you enter you take off your shoes and leave them at the front. You must wear socks and, I believe, they had some socks there you could use if you didn't have any with you. Once you are in the kids play area there is a carpeted section and a tiled section. All food and drinks must remain in the tiled area. There are a few packages of wipes in the snack area. This keeps kids from snacking and getting their dirty hands all over the toys/equipment. K Peas offers a few snacks for sale but mostly people bring things with them. I saw people that brought in Chick Fil-A and Subway. Bringing lunch is a great idea that I plan to do next time I visit. K Peas has a number of special events/classes that they offer. We visited during open play time so the kids could move from activity to activity at their own leisure. During open play, K Peas had some children's music on in the background. My daughter stopped a couple of times to sing along with whatever was playing. Check the K Peas website for when they have open play versus some sort of structured event. K Peas is just beginning to roll out some open play weekend hours. This is great because not everyone can make it during the week. Some Saturdays are "Farmers Markets" where kids can learn about planting foods and making healthy eating decisions. Other weekends are reserved for birthday parties. K Peas offers wifi for those who might need it, they also have a water fountain and two bathrooms, one equipped with a changing area. K Peas prices are great if you have multiple kids in your family. For 15 dollars you can bring all kids in the family and they can play for as long as open play is taking place. For me, walking in, I thought it was a bit pricey because I paid fifteen dollars for one kid (as my infant didn't play with anything). But after my daughter spent three hours playing, I warmed a bit on the price. K Peas offers a number of packages. You can pay for unlimited visits (classes and open play) for a month ($80). You can also pay for six classes/open play visits ($60 for the month). A third option is pay $100 dollars for ten classes/open play visits (this one is good for three months). If you've got preschoolers and are looking for something indoors to beat the summer heat, K Peas might just be your cup of pea. read more

I have rewritten this review 100x bc I can't quite put into words how magical this space is. Ms. Karen, the teacher/creator of the space, is more than just that. K peas is a place where my children go to play,explore, learn, create... they dance and enjoy a world filled with expansive creativity and endless fun. They never want to leave, it feels like home away from home. Ms. Karen is so good with children of all ages. She quickly became more of a friend than an instructor all of us. She genuinely cares about EVERY SINGLE child that walks into her beautiful play space. She is easy to talk about anything and everything. She deeply wants to make connections with every family and each child. That's the model behind her entire business at K peas. Connect. Play. Celebrate. Everything is affordable and times are flexible. She even has special events planned with afternoon times to accommodate older children in school. She opens on weekends and does private parties. So there are many opportunities to bring your little one to this creative and fun space. K Peas has open play with tons of toys and sensory activities combined with music class with Ms Karen. They work harmoniously to provide enriching activities for any age level of child development. When we first enrolled she gave us CD with songs that she regularly incorporates into her music classes and now my children know all of them so well they sing them in the car and ask for me to put it on! Today I had my sons Birthday party at this venue. It's perfect for children 5& under although my 9yr old step daughter even enjoyed herself as well.The price for 2 hrs was perfect considering the owner helped set up & clean up. She has been delightful since my Husband contacted the shop to check out venue. I myself think it's perfect for a 1yr old. I wasn't for sure I was even going to have a party for him until 1 afternoon we hung out at K Peas just to play & he loved it! It's very clean & I appreciate all the rules , prices & guidelines. I myself run a tight shift at my home . As long as rules are followed the venue will continue to stay clean & awesome vibes. Everyone of my guests loved this party. We had a sing along, book song, instrument s & parashoot fun which my son (1yr old) LOVED!!all the other children enjoyed the activity as well I would refer this location to anyone with children ! Ms. Karen is a treasure. She is so good at relating to children of all ages. My son has been her number one fan ever since she opened K Peas. Free playtime is his favorite- he loves to explore the treehouse, kitchen and train table. We either meet up with friends or make a new friend while we are there. He just turned five and requested that we have his fifth birthday party there. She did a wonderful job organizing and structuring the party! We had 21 children in attendance, and I was concerned it might be too much for the space. But she managed it beautifully and everyone had such a good time- including us! Living in Florida, it's hard to go places to play outside so I'm always looking for indoor play grounds. We usually resort to the mall but the big kids always ruin it and play too crazy for my 1 year old son who can barely walk. I found K Peas Place while doing some research and decided to try it out since it was nearby. The play area is for kids 0-5, and is super clean with lots of different toys! Plenty for all the kids to have something to play with. My son always enjoys himself when we're there and it's a great place for him to socialize with other children. We also tried the music class and it was really great! Ms. Karen does a great job of learning and knowing everyone's names and is very inclusive of each child. I visited a few times before buying a package deal but it's also a great price of $15 per visit for the whole family! Remember to bring your socks! read more
