    Train play area.

K Peas Place is an indoor kids zone designed for the four and under crowd. There are a number of big play pieces including a tree house, roller coaster, puppet area, kitchen and a tool area. Other toys at K Peas include a large collection of small Thomas trains, buildings and tracks, stuffed animals and small cars and wagons kids can sit in and drive or pull. K Peas has a small reading corner with books and bean bag chairs. There is also a zone for arts and crafts but no one really worked there while we visited. K Peas is very clean and has a number of rules to keep it that way. For one, as soon as you enter you take off your shoes and leave them at the front. You must wear socks and, I believe, they had some socks there you could use if you didn't have any with you. Once you are in the kids play area there is a carpeted section and a tiled section. All food and drinks must remain in the tiled area. There are a few packages of wipes in the snack area. This keeps kids from snacking and getting their dirty hands all over the toys/equipment. K Peas offers a few snacks for sale but mostly people bring things with them. I saw people that brought in Chick Fil-A and Subway. Bringing lunch is a great idea that I plan to do next time I visit. K Peas has a number of special events/classes that they offer. We visited during open play time so the kids could move from activity to activity at their own leisure. During open play, K Peas had some children's music on in the background. My daughter stopped a couple of times to sing along with whatever was playing. Check the K Peas website for when they have open play versus some sort of structured event. K Peas is just beginning to roll out some open play weekend hours. This is great because not everyone can make it during the week. Some Saturdays are "Farmers Markets" where kids can learn about planting foods and making healthy eating decisions. Other weekends are reserved for birthday parties. K Peas offers wifi for those who might need it, they also have a water fountain and two bathrooms, one equipped with a changing area. K Peas prices are great if you have multiple kids in your family. For 15 dollars you can bring all kids in the family and they can play for as long as open play is taking place. For me, walking in, I thought it was a bit pricey because I paid fifteen dollars for one kid (as my infant didn't play with anything). But after my daughter spent three hours playing, I warmed a bit on the price. K Peas offers a number of packages. You can pay for unlimited visits (classes and open play) for a month ($80). You can also pay for six classes/open play visits ($60 for the month). A third option is pay $100 dollars for ten classes/open play visits (this one is good for three months). If you've got preschoolers and are looking for something indoors to beat the summer heat, K Peas might just be your cup of pea.

For birthdays, it's pricy depending on the options you pick, but it's pretty worth it if you have to invite other kids. You get private time with just your group, which to me is the best part. I don't have to worry about random unsupervised kids running amok and the staff takes care of everything. For open play, you check their calendar online to make sure they have open time, pay $10 a kid, and hang out in the A/C for two hours while your kids get exercise. There's nice variety - a couple slides, a basketball house, a big round house, a "ninja warrior" style house with huge globes to jump across, and one where you climb as high as you can before you slide back down. Then there's a floor projector video game, a baseball area with a floating ball, and those huge blue block things you find sometimes at kid museums. Good stuff. I have never had an issue here with the staff. The only inconsistency is that they sometimes charge me for my 20 month old and sometimes they don't. ‍ My son's birthday party was scheduled the weekend of Hurricane Irma and they rescheduled us with no hassle or fees, and let us wait right until we knew if we had to. I like this place.

After lunch, my son really wanted to come here, so we took him. I usually end up spending about $50 per kid for arcade games and that lasts them about an hour. My kids do run through money really quickly with arcade games because there is one game that they are just trying to rack up as many points as possible for prizes. I was so surprised by how few people were here at 1:30 on a Tuesday during spring break. It wasn't busy at all. I'm guessing this is not where families with younger children think to come, but being that my son loves this place so much it was a great idea. He does get around 2000 to 3000 points which then gets him some pretty cool toys. This time he walked away with a remote control helicopter, a sticky hand, and a foam glider. Just enough prizes that will keep him occupied now at home. This will continue to be a place that my son enjoys, and even though it is loud and there's tons of bright lights, it is a fun overall experience for the family since we aren't there for a ton of time.

I booked this venue in advance by using their website and the package offered 2 different types of competitions so I picked go karts and axe throwing and food. My only complaint was the way the food was set up on a long table area which was so loud we really weren't able to talk and eat and exchange our raffle winners. The indoor space is massive and two stories so perfect for even sports teams and large birthday parties. Check out their locations online as there seems to be a few throughout Florida.

There is also a bathroom, which is really convenient as you don't have to leave the play area or walk very far. It can get pretty busy on the weekends but is quieter during the week. They have multiple swing options, a small playground for younger kids, a larger playground for older kids, and various climbing/play structures. It is completely turf but is surrounded by a concrete walkway- so pretty wheelchair and stroller friendly. It is pretty shaded as well so you aren't being blasted by the sun. I would say this park is more suited to 2+. There are multiple climbing components that are pretty challenging and just require more coordination/strength.

My young boys and I were disappointed to find it had been Renovated for some time now with toxic Turf and plastic/metal playgrounds. Playground felt much smaller this way than when it had been wooden with plank beams running throughout. It is also incredibly packed, but I think that's also because there is a sports complex here and I'm assuming many younger kids are here playing on the playground while older ones play sports. The upside is that it's still a public playground and an outdoor activity for kids. There are bathrooms in the playground area so that's a convenience.

My group was brought over from our hotel on trolleys and directed up a flight of stairs. Once we found the correct door, we were led into the dolphin room. We had cocktail hour there, which was cool - as we could walk around the dolphin exhibit while enjoying a cocktail (or 3). After cocktails, we went upstairs to a ballroom area and had dinner and drinks, listened to award presentations, and then had a live band with karaoke. The catering staff was great, although the fish entree was cold and not very flavorful (not the fault of the aquarium IMO). Literally no fish whatsoever. You walk around the tank as you walk around the aquarium there are window all the way around, but again, the tank was completely empty. There were other areas of the aquarium that were under construction due to either renovations or expansion. Due to this there were multiple enclosures that had no fish are animals to view. It's a little disappointing when you are traveling for vacation and the aquarium was the place that your daughter was looking forward to the most. All this while still charging full price for admission. All that being said, they have a very friendly and informed staff and volunteers that clearly do a lot for the marine life. It is very commendable the way they are nursing injured marine life back to health. Definitely more of a rescue center than an aquarium.
