It took me nearly three years in San Diego to finally find the barber I love! I have come back to Teacher Cheng here for six months. My girlfriend found this place on the internet, and we are finally convinced that my hair is not impossible to cut or style. I just need a very good barber. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality I received, and I'm very happy. A word of advice is that they barely speak any English, so get your Translation app ready if you want to communicate with them. Highly recommended--the only barber I visit in town! read more

Late review but I made an appointment in August online and showed up on time. The staff acknowledged I was there but after sitting around for 15 minutes without any updates, I decided to leave. No updates, no communication. Really disappointing experience. I won't be returning. read more

With the GOAT for the 2nd time - Simon!!! He not only crushes a fast time-saving haircut, but you can put your full trust in his skill and expertise to get the job done well. I'm always so satisfied by his approach to layers, texturizing, blending, and removing weight. His skill is in point-cutting where he's using the scissors and not relying on thinning shears like how noobs would approach it. As you may know, overdoing thinning shears will make the grow out look awful. Point cutting is the expert way to removing weight. Simon does this beautifully! He doesn't speak much English, but Google translate gets the communication across. It always helps if you have inspirational photos to share, but I went in this time with just a verbal explanation and he hit it out of the ballpark! I cannot recommend him enough!!! read more

My new haircut spot! I was very loyal to my old spot but my friend came to K Ma and recommended it and I've never looked back since!! Simon and Tom have both cut my hair before and they never disappoint! Always do exactly what I want and sometimes I hate how layers look on my hair but ever since coming here, I've never walked out unhappy. $60 for a women's haircut without tip! I just got my haircut by Cheng after seeing it on TikTok. I was a bit hesitant, but this was probably the best haircut I've ever had. I paid $70 for wash, cut, and style. I asked for face framing layers and long layers all around. You can tell he knows what he's doing so I trusted him to deliver and he did. I will be coming back here! read more

My sad non elite review #2 ( still asking the powers that be, why I wasn't worthy this year or what I did wrong) Went back to Kma after 4 months and this time was a walk in and Tom had me sit in his chair. He seems to know English a little more than Simon so this time there wasn't a Google translate. I showed a photo and walked out feeling pretty. The hair wash was a little more relaxing, but the floors were still covered in hair and their tools don't look like the hair is removed and sanitized in between uses... but I left feeling pretty. Lol. Maybe Ill bring my own brushes and combs next time? read more
