Basically our whole finished basement had water damage. They came out promptly with equipment too get us dried out. Over the next 10 days they finished drying out the carpet and dry wall. I also recommend the following: 1. Add a penalty clause for work going past their original estimated completion date. In our case, the job took more than two months past their original completion date at great inconvenience. 2. Be very precise about everything you want, down to number of circuits, outlets, precise trim, etc. 3. Don't just discuss any extra work that might be needed, get a written estimate for your approval. They have a $55/hour charge for extra work. Ask for an exact accounting for how the $55 was allocated. Write in the contract that all extra charges that are over the original estimate must be approved *in writing*. Our final cost was almost 20% more than the original estimate.
