Ok, so I've been wanting to try a smoothie from Erewhon for a while now and was finally in the area…read moreto try it! I went here on a Saturday around 12:24pm and there was a wait! Their smoothie section is inside of a grocery store, which added to the confusion. The multiple lines here made it confusing since they had a cafe and bakery section and another section for food items. I eventually found out I was supposed to order Erewhon drinks from the tablet instead of wait in line and then later found out I was waiting in the wrong section to pick up my drink. I ordered the Blueberry SYRN smoothie from Sydney Sweeney through the tablet. After waiting about least half an hour, that was when I was told where to pick up my drink that I ordered on the tablet. The drink still looked pretty when I picked it up, but it didn't taste like anything special. The smoothie still tasted good though, so not much to complain about that, besides the high price tag of their drinks (it was $22). Now, enough about the smoothie section, the rest of this store looked very well organized with their products and it looked like they sell good quality items here. The store looked organized because I liked how they had all the labels facing out, unlike other stores with their drinks section. The meats and sushi section looked fresh, they have a colorful variety of fruits and veggies too. They also give some free food samples throughout the store, so that was nice. I'd recommend this place for the experience. It's cool how this is a grocery store where you can buy fresh food and drinks here. It's also a good place if you're looking for some colorful veggies.

However, I…read morebelieve what has affected me most was not only the physical fall, but the way I was treated afterward by your employee, Clarita. When I went back into the store to let her know that I had fallen, I was shocked by her response. I had broken glass from my drink all over the ground, and there was a genuine safety concern. Customers or their pets could have easily walked through the area without realizing there was broken glass and could have been seriously injured. I even had pieces of glass on my own skin that I had to brush off. Instead of asking whether I was okay, whether I had been injured, or whether I had glass on me, Clarita immediately told me that I would have to purchase everything again. Given that I had just fallen, was physically shaken, and was dealing with broken glass, I found her response extremely insensitive and upsetting.

The negative is the other people that visit with their dogs. I know Whole Foods can't control it, but not sure why people come with their pets, its kind of crazy. The service was fast and attentive and the person was really enthusiastic. We got the matcha latte and I think it was like a brown sugar one latte and both were decent, but nothing special. The prices were really good though. But would I get this again, probably not unless I really want some espresso. Great concept, but would like more interesting flavors and better coffee!

Update review: I used to think that Whole Foods is a boutique market where things are overpriced…read more The more I come here, the more I am seeing the reasonable prices in their ready-to-eat, deli and cafe/smoothie bar. Now I am finding out for myself that it is just as any other market where in this economy, it benefits for me to research online for sales and weekly ads. One of things I realized is that I was sleeping on their coffee bar! This Whole Foods is surrounded by many restaurants, trending eateries and coffee shops that it is easy to overlook what Whole Foods can offer. The staff working at the coffee and juice bar are amazing! My current favorite is the berry chantilly iced latte. The honey latte and the brown sugar cookie latte are both very good but the berry chantilly is my current favorite. It is strong, not-too-sweet and well made for $5 and that is for a large. You can also have alternative milk like almond or oat at no extra charge! The deli and bakery are also great but I have been getting their pizza slices for an inexpensive lunch. Where nearby pizza spots are selling their slices for $7-$8 a slice (which I get why it is priced that way), Whole Foods has them at the self serve area for one slice at $4.50 or 2 for $8. I work near the area and though I love that I am in foodie heaven, sometimes I just need something a bit more simple and reasonably priced. Whole Foods pizza can be artisanal just as any other pizzerias. This week, they had elote pizza and it reminds me of the viral elote pizza that was invented by Rose City Pizza. It is pretty good and definitely closer to me than Covina.

It's unfortunate that I have to update my review and lower the stars, but I have to share my…read moreexperience so hopefully a better system can be put in place. I ordered two smoothies, one for me and one for my son: #17 and #31 IN STORE on Saturday, 9/19/26. As you continue reading, please keep the words "in store". When I ordered, the staff asked for my name and phone number. I thought it was a little strange that they needed my phone number since they call your name over the mic when your order is ready, but okay. They were busy, so I prepared myself to wait patiently. No biggie. But then I started noticing SEVERAL people who ordered way after me getting their names called and picking up their smoothies. That's when I was like, "Oh heck no, something ain't right!" After waiting about 15 minutes, I finally walked up to the pickup counter and asked when my name was going to be called. I gave the young lady my name, and she first looked over at the smoothies being made, thinking maybe mine was in the process. When she realized it wasn't, she checked the screen and asked, "Was it a phone order?" Nope! I told her I stood right there in line and ordered in person, and I had already watched several people who came in after me get their smoothies. She then looked in the freezer, pulled out ONE smoothie and said, "They had you as a phone order." Now I'm even more irritated because I ordered TWO smoothies. I told her I was supposed to have two, so she opened the freezer again and pulled out my second smoothie. So both of my smoothies had apparently just been sitting in the freezer while I was standing there waiting for my name to be called. I know the mistake wasn't necessarily the young lady's fault, but what bothered me even more was that there was no apology. Not even a simple, "Sorry about the mix-up." Moving into the neighborhood, I was genuinely excited about having this place nearby and supporting the establishment. Unfortunately, after today's experience, I don't think I'll be back. Maybe reconsider asking for a phone number when someone is physically standing in the store ordering, or have a clearer system for distinguishing in-store orders from phone orders. Because waiting patiently while your smoothies are sitting in a freezer the entire time is definitely frustrating.
