They failed to spot an OBVIOUS problem with our dog, but in their mind, it didn't matter whether it was a cancer lump anyway - we were told to put her down either way. Many others I have spoken to have said this. Use them if you like the distress of suffering the loss of an animal prematurely.

The PDSA is a wonderful service that provides care to sick or injured animals to those who are…read moreclients. In order to become a client you have to prove that you are in receipt of housing benefit or council tax benefit and then you will receive a six months client agreement which you must take with you when you visit. You are allowed to register up to three pets and donations are requested when treatment or medications are given. It also offers vaccinations including boosters, at a reduced cost to registered clients. The reception staff, vets and nursing staff (& any other staff I have missed out) are all lovely and caring and you couldn't ask to meet nicer people who often sadly put up with verbal and sometimes physical abuse from people, which I think is absolutely disgusting. They are trying to help and don't deserve to be spat at, swore at, punched or worse and I think people need to remember that and respect and appreciate these wonderful people who are trying to treat our sick and injured pets. Thank you for all you do PDSA!

Compared to Rhyd Broughton, who we went to a couple of times with one of our first rats, and promptly never went back due to attitude, price, and the feeling of an overall lack of interest or knowledge about rats; Borras Park Vets are outstanding. [As an example, at Rhyd Broughton, after having one of our rats put down, I had to wait in reception for well over 5 minutes, in tears, waiting to pay for the treatment. Disgraceful]. The two main vets at Borras are both lovely - very approachable, informative, and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable, and in an emergency they always do their best to fit us in. A very nice touch after one of our rats had to be put down was they sent us a With Sympathy card. Very thoughtful, and costs them very little. Borras Park also have a surgery in Lavister (by the Grosvenor Hotel in Pulford).

They are slightly pricey, but no more than any other vet I know of. They also offer the microchip slightly cheaper on certain days. They have a 24hour call out service but this can be costly. The staff are extremely helpful and will always offer you the best advice, rather than the most profitable! I would strongly recommend them to anyone who has concerns about their pet's reaction in vets. Adams are very accommodating and will often be able to fit you in at short notice or even on a drop in, however a Saturday morning is appointments only.

We found these vets are very helpful, caring, and informative. When we called to ask questions about treating them for fleas, and some other questions, they told us everything we needed to know over the phone and it was so nice to get the info. we wanted so easily. When we took one of our kittens in, the vet was very good with her. (Despite the fact that our kitten really did not enjoy the experience! But then, what pet does like seeing the vet?) I would definitely recommend this vet.

This is a wonderful vetinary practice and I cannot recommend highly enough…read more Not only have they been consistently good with my pet rats (which a lot of vets do not particularly enjoy treating as they have a lack of experience with them) but they were always exceptionally good with my last cat. She was a rescue cat who had a lot of health problems and they treated her beautifully. At the end of her life she developed kidney failure and we were given the option of euthanising her. I asked if there was any chance of keeping her alive for longer and the vet told me that they could keep her going a few more days but that if it were her own cat, she would put to sleep as the pain and discomfort was so intense that my cat would have no quality of life left. Bearing in mind that the practice could easily have made another £500 for keeping my cat alive for an extra few days, I was incredibly pleased that they chose not to go down this route but instead made the whole process so easy and calming - we really couldn't have asked for a better experience, considering the circumstances. Wonderful vets, wonderful reception staff and a lovely calm, clean environment. Defintiely recommended to all!
