We both didn't answer immediately and she asked us questions that directed us in the right way. We told her we like goofy costumes. She did not disappoint when she named off some different ideas. She took her time, we all had fun trying on costumes, and we found the perfect one. All staff was very friendly. You do have to pay a rental deposit that you do get back once you return the costume. I called Kostume Room at about 11pm on a Saturday night, and was shocked that I not only got an answer, but the woman who answered was SUPER helpful. She went to the back to see if there were any of the items left that I was searching for, and there was JUST ONE! So she saved it for me and told me that she would get it shipped out ASAP and will get to me in time for my event. Not only do they have an awesome price point -- I heard some of the workers in the background being super helpful to find the item as well even tho everybody was off work and off the clock. They were not friendly, I spoke to two different people, once when placing my order and then again when confirming my order the day before the party. When placing the order the gentleman who I spoke to sounded annoyed, as if I was bothering him. I was asking for specific colors but seeing that they are a balloon supplier I didn't feel these were outrageous requests. . The color theme was blue, dark blue, light blue, white and sea foam. Basic simple colors 2 dozen 6 of each. When I arrived to my daughters the balloons were delivered and instead of dark blue they brought black. Seeing that I confirmed this order the day before I was annoyed that they got it wrong. In addition the women I spoke to when confirming was sharp and snippy I was barely able to get a thank you out before she hung up the phone. Now, keeping perspective, this was a child's birthday and nothing was ruined due to this error, I thought about calling but with my previous phone experiences I didn't feel they would be very responsive and why add to my irritation. I won't order from them again as there is a certain level of customer service you should be able to expect and unfortunately in my case KD sales made no attempt to convey even the basic customer service courtesies.

The tops of the shelves in the main showroom are topped with stacks of any kind of hat you can imagine. The back room has shelves and shelves of labeled cardboard boxes containing wigs, boas, gloves, costume jewelry and other props. There are many gag gifts here. You can find lots of little toys (bounce balls, plastic animals, cars, airplanes, etc.), perfect for filling gift bags for children's birthday parties. Stickers, makeup, party decorations...you name it, they probably have it. Be warned that the store is a little dingy and is not in the best neighborhood. That said, I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful. Appearances can be deceiving.
