We both didn't answer immediately and she asked us questions that directed us in the right way. We told her we like goofy costumes. She did not disappoint when she named off some different ideas. She took her time, we all had fun trying on costumes, and we found the perfect one. All staff was very friendly. You do have to pay a rental deposit that you do get back once you return the costume. It turns out that the only costume that she found acceptable was sold out just about everywhere! Googled around for a bit and I came across this business. I called Kostume Room at about 11pm on a Saturday night, and was shocked that I not only got an answer, but the woman who answered was SUPER helpful. She went to the back to see if there were any of the items left that I was searching for, and there was JUST ONE! So she saved it for me and told me that she would get it shipped out ASAP and will get to me in time for my event. Not only do they have an awesome price point -- I heard some of the workers in the background being super helpful to find the item as well even tho everybody was off work and off the clock. Moving forward I also purchased a petticoat and was offered a big bow for the back of the dress which my daughter really loved for free. So I purchased the dress and petticoat that day and was called 2 weeks later staying my bow was in drove all the way to the store to pick it up. The bow seemed to be darker then the dress but thought I would wait til I got home to confirm. Called a few days later to explain that the bow was way darker then the dress and if I could get another bow made with the right color I was then told me that I was given the bow for free and that the place that made it was now closed and there was nothing they could do for me. So moral of the store is I never got a (good deal) for the dress paid full price and the (free) bow that I got was the wrong color and they could care less on helping me get the right color or offering me other options. I wouldn't recommend going to this place and I will never shop there again. Thanks for nothing.

They were not friendly, I spoke to two different people, once when placing my order and then again when confirming my order the day before the party. When placing the order the gentleman who I spoke to sounded annoyed, as if I was bothering him. I was asking for specific colors but seeing that they are a balloon supplier I didn't feel these were outrageous requests. . The color theme was blue, dark blue, light blue, white and sea foam. Basic simple colors 2 dozen 6 of each. When I arrived to my daughters the balloons were delivered and instead of dark blue they brought black. Seeing that I confirmed this order the day before I was annoyed that they got it wrong. In addition the women I spoke to when confirming was sharp and snippy I was barely able to get a thank you out before she hung up the phone. Now, keeping perspective, this was a child's birthday and nothing was ruined due to this error, I thought about calling but with my previous phone experiences I didn't feel they would be very responsive and why add to my irritation. I won't order from them again as there is a certain level of customer service you should be able to expect and unfortunately in my case KD sales made no attempt to convey even the basic customer service courtesies.

The tops of the shelves in the main showroom are topped with stacks of any kind of hat you can imagine. The back room has shelves and shelves of labeled cardboard boxes containing wigs, boas, gloves, costume jewelry and other props. There are many gag gifts here. You can find lots of little toys (bounce balls, plastic animals, cars, airplanes, etc.), perfect for filling gift bags for children's birthday parties. Stickers, makeup, party decorations...you name it, they probably have it. Be warned that the store is a little dingy and is not in the best neighborhood. I wholeheartedly understand that working retail and dealing with the general public has to be on of the hardest, annoying, bothersome and infuriating jobs in the world. People are rude and sometimes they take their day out on the staff of whichever store they go into, so I completely understand the frustration, especially when the store is busy. With all that being said, I asked one employee a question about necklaces, and I was already hesitant due to the look on her face. She looked as though I was intruding in her house. After having to repeat myself she said they're on the next aisle, but seemed rather annoyed that I even had the audacity to ask her a question. I go to the next aisle, they weren't there (No worries). Alright it's fine. I find them myself. I walk past another employee who looks even angrier than the last one and ask a question about hair/wigs. She looks at my like "why are you even talking to me"..... BECAUSE YOU WORK HERE.... but tells me to check the wig aisle with much attitude. I don't even say thank you and just walk away because the amount of hostility over a simple question made no sense to me. I finally just say I'm leaving and pay for my stuff at the cash register. There might of been four employees at the register and you guessed it, at least 2 of them looked as though they were dragged into work against their will, and had a taste of spoiled milk in their mouths.
