As a frequent thrifter, I come to Salvation Army knowing what to expect- yeah, they price their…read moreitems for a profit. Locations will vary probably depending on the knowledge of the person pricing. They have a certain color tag half off every day, and have periodic sales typically on holidays, generally where either everything is half off or everything is 99 cents. You can find decent deals on half-off tag items, which is all I typically shopped. I personally think the furniture is overpriced. Check the front section of clothes for racks of new with tags items- these are also eligible for the half-off colored tag deal. They also have a rack in the front with what they probably consider "boutique" items, stuff like Lucky Brand, Coach, etc. On the holiday sales this location gets VERY busy. You will be waiting in a line around the store. Best practice would be to bring a buddy and take turns standing in line. Especially on these days, the fitting room racks and the fitting rooms themselves get pretty overloaded.

I have recently found several items that have been marked over from a cheaper price to a more expensive price. This is just plan tacky. If you are going to price it higher, remove the old tag. I came in around 3 PM and wasn't greeted, which isn't a big deal, just unusual compared to my past visits. At 3:59 PM, a staff member approached me and said "we would like to close, it's 4 PM." The doors were already locked and the open sign had been turned off. I apologized, as I had mistakenly checked the hours for a different thrift store--completely my fault. That said, the interaction felt a bit abrupt and not very welcoming. I've always appreciated the environment here, and that's a big reason I shop here regularly. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression. With so many thrift stores around, customer experience really makes a difference and today felt very unwelcoming. Would like to note, I've been there around closing before and usually they make an announcement and are super friendly, today that was not the case.

The prices are really reasonable compared to other third stores in the area. The store is well organized and clean. I found several nice vintage pieces of glass during my visit and some notecards. The staff is comprised of volunteers that are welcoming, super friendly and helpful. The clerk carefully wrapped my purchases so that they wouldn't break. They accept donations, too. Eventually we went to the counter and there was a young woman, maybe a teenager, ducked on the counter on her phone and eating hard boiled eggs, she told us to wait, so she got off her phone and called someone else from the back to come do the register. It seems that this place has always had trouble keeping their volunteers. They do have some good items and very good prices.

All the clothes are well organized and well priced. I purchased an instant camera for $15 with the case. My son got a few coloring books. Overall a great store to shop at.
