EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL SALON WITH UNTRAINED STAFF…read more It is incredibly frustrating and completely unacceptable for a business to hold its clients to a rigid standard while failing to offer even a baseline level of professional courtesy in return. Turning a child away at the door due to being ill-equipped and ill-prepared is something no parent should have to navigate. Our stylist Dani K. canceled on us twice in a row then called us with an attitude and she's a manager. Our next stylist, Sarah M. honestly expressed that she didn't even know how to do our daughter's hair after Audrey at the front desk assured us that we would not be canceled or rescheduled on again. Well guess what? We were rescheduled on again, for a third time. If I were to cancel my appointment without a 24-hour notice, this salon would eagerly enforce their strict cancellation policy and charge me without a second thought. Yet, they apparently feel completely justified in waiting until the exact moment my daughter and I walk through their doors to cancel on us. Their excuse for the third reschedule? They suddenly realized they were ill-prepared to do my daughter's hair. A professional establishment knows the capabilities of its stylists and communicates appropriately during the booking process. Waiting until we arrive to turn a child away is not only cowardly and blatantly unprofessional, but it also feels incredibly targeted. Do not spend your money at a business that demands your respect but refuses to treat you or your family with basic human dignity. Our daughter missed three days of summer camp because of this place. Run away from this salon as fast as you can and DO NOT LOOK BACK

Both my daughter and I got perms this time around and we absolutely love how they turned out. She is the only person I trust to wax and maintain my daughters eyebrows. Jacqui also takes care of my son's haircuts. He has been through a few barbers and stylists since we moved to TX about 3 yrs ago and does not want to go anywhere else. Jacqui also did the makeup and hair updo for my son's senior prom date and she looked amazing! The other stylist (Cindy and Katie) are always a joy to be around and make the experience that much better. I would recommend City of Hair to anyone needing any type of hair cutting, styling, etc. Also check out Jacqui for your waxing needs or for makeup artist info.

That horrendous haircut was the first that I had gotten in the San Antonio area since we moved down here last year. I thought I could just live with it, but I like to go six months between haircuts and there was no way I was going let myself continue to look like I did for 4.5 more months. The salon is located in a tranquil area just off the beaten path but close to 35. The decor is modern and it's very clean. The vibe inside the salon is also very peaceful. Paul was very professional, listened to my complaints, offered good feedback, and gave me the face framing angles I was looking for. Then, he gave me a nice style so I could go home with an extra special look that my husband wouldn't be able to miss. The color I got from the other salon was (is) also a mess, and Paul offered his opinions about my next steps. I believe I will return soon to get my color corrected. I have to also add that when I got home from the salon, my husband commented on how amazing my hair looked perhaps three times in the first hour. I've been home for several hours now, and he is still pausing to look at me, smile, and compliment. Thank you, Paul! Picture: I wish I had taken a picture before I left the salon, because it looked extremely good fresh, but this is after running errands... I'll try to post an updated photo after I give it a wash to highlight the actual cut rather than the style.

I got there there was one other person waiting and I thought great I'll be in and out As one stylist finished up she decided to straighten all her stuff, then sweep the whole store floor and it really appeared she moved as slow as possible a few people came in to check in and she told them 1 hour 36 minutes then 1 hour 45 minutes ( they left) A few more people came in and were signed in After 1 hour I left. Just as I was getting ready to leave Emily took me and did my cut, she apologized for the excessive wait and was very sweet and tried very hard to make sure I was happy, left it hadn't been for her this would be a terrible review I'll probably go back back but if I see Emily's coworker when I do I may leave I'll look for a new place to cut my hair
