I ordered my bike and my rack on July 1 and although I do understand that summertime is busy, I was told my E bike and rack should arrive within two weeks. It took three weeks for the delivery and it took another additional week for my bike to get assembled so that I could come pick it up, which was disappointing. Then another major disappointment, my bike rack arrived without all of the parts so I am unable to transport my bike using my bike rack. It is now been an additional four weeks while I'm waiting for this one part to come in and here it is September 4. Bottom line is is I'm not happy with customer service support! The bike rack should've been ordered with the correct parts and the staff did admit that they forgot to order the part that I needed so that I could secure my bike because it has fenders. I can understand forgetting once but now it's been an additional month with a bike rack that I cannot use because the bike cannot be properly secured. Then I was told that they would order it right away and send me the tracking number and have it shipped directly to my house and it's been over two weeks and I still haven't received the tracking number, so I don't know if the part has been ordered yet and it's on its way or not. Even stopping at the shop in personand asking did not net me any answers. Not impressed!

We attempted to stop here after getting a flat while riding the Erie Canalway Trail. Their website…read moregave regular hours of operation and suggested we stop in for service. Even so, we did contact them ahead of time, but no one got back to us. We desperately needed a bike shop, so we plowed ahead and made our way up an incredibly steep hill to their shop. It was closed with a sign on the door saying they are by appointment only and you should call for service. We called and texted, but no answer or response. With no other choice, we had to hobble on with a flat tire, having wasted over an hour getting to Spike's and then waiting there in hopes someone would answer the phone or show up. Terrible.

For our visit, he was happy to adjust not one but 2 trikes so they fit for a trial ride. We rode for like 20 minutes, and came back, then went out to try out another pair. The entire time Bernie was awesome and never pressured us to buy. My first triking experience was super fun, but I went home to think it over. A fancy recumbent trike is a big purchase. Bernie just smiled when we left... I think he knew I'd be back. He was right, and I'm happy I did. My only criticism is that Bernie only carries a few brands. I suspect this is linked to the small size of the shop, and is something I can live with. I'm very happy with my Trident Stowaway. Who are trikes good for? - Elderly people who dont feel confident balancing on bikes, or want the security of adding electric assist just in case - People who never learned how to ride bicycles - Disabled people who need modifications to ride. Bernie has put together hand bikes, and even a row bike for a customer with a serious disability - People who think bikes are uncomfortable, or can't sit on them for long periods of time without pain - People who want tons of compliments on their trike whenever they go out - Everyone?

I had two very poor experiences with Grey Ghost, specifically Steve. The first was purchasing a…read morebike from a fit with him that was much too small for me (sadly at the time I didn't know better). The second was when I went looking for upgrades to that same bike and was told that I wasn't fast enough or fit enough to be worthy of upgrades. In fact, they'd be wasted on me. Whether or not I'm "fast enough" should not determine whether I'm allowed to purchase upgrades for equipment I own and a sport I care about. The comment was dismissive and unprofessional. I reached out to Grey Ghost about my concerns and never received a response. If they had addressed the situation I wouldn't be so critical. Grey Ghost has a strong reputation locally for bike fits, based on my experiences I would question that reputation. These interactions left me feeling dismissed as a customer and doubtful of the quality of the fit I received and others are receiving as well. I regret the money I spent with them and would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to a fit or major purchase from Grey Ghost.
