(I learned the hard way that low profile tires are prone to this happening.....would have been nice if I would have been advised of this when I bought the car). Based on information given to me by the dealership I purchased the car from, I was told by a service person there, that when I had to replace the one original tire, and because as it was an all wheel drive vehicle, that all four tires, including the three new tires, would have to be replaced at the same time. Here's where the great customer service from Olson Tire comes in. As I had about 17,000 miles on the one original tire, I had them order four new tires, and took my car in today to have them replaced. About 20 minutes later I got a call from Dylan, one of the mangers there, advising me that there was enough tread on the original tire, and based on my annual mileage I was accumulating, would be more than enough to last me through the lease. Dylan's advice prompted to call the dealership once again, and I spoke with a Service Manager who informed me that if the original tire would have to be replaced at the time of turning the car in, I would only be billed for "one" tire, even though all four would have to be replaced. If the tech at Olson had not consulted with Dylan on this, I would have replaced four tires at and out of pocket expense of around $1100.00!!! This action on their part will be saving me roughly about $900.00, assuming the original tire has to be replaced. I can't say enough about how grateful I am to the team at Olson Tire. In these days where auto repair and tire shops get bad press for performing unnecessary maintenance or repairs, this business sets the bar for others. Again, THANKS!!

I did a fair amount of additional research and then went to Olson. They provided four great options. All would need to be ordered and would arrive within 3-4 days. I also went to a big chain tire store. The chain provided two of the same options that Olson had. Olson was way less than the dealer (of course) and their price for the exact same tire was less than the chain tire store, as well. Brought the car in today. Received a loaner. They found an issue with the tire pressure monitor (which has been an issue with my car). They diagnosed it and tried a couple of things. It appears to be fixed. The diagnosis and "fix" did not cost a thing. The best place in Wausau for tires and auto service. Also, their body shop is top notch!

The best plan I could come up with was to drive a mile to a dealership near Menard, check their inventory, get recommendations on mechanics in the area, and buy a clean, AWD vehicle. SelectAUTO came up as highly recommended, though they are located in Weston. I requested that they send a wrecker, which they did, and I sailed away in a 2017 Ford Escape. Mike Molitor, the manager, is extra nice, very helpful. It took 10 days to assemble the parts and get them installed. While they were at it, they adjusted and cleaned my brakes. Nicely done! Exiting the store appears to be AI enhanced as no human asked for a receipt when exiting. Just an average shopping experience lacking the human touch.
