I was excited when this food truck came to my apartment last night but super super pissed and disappointed when I started Eating. I got the brisket dinner for $21!!! First the brisket Was tough and DRY. I had to cut it with a knife which if you know brisket it should fall apart. I got the Mac and cheese and green beans side. The Mac was also dry, like a goop of cheese on top only and there was NO FLAVOR. And it wasn't even hot. No creaminess, no salt, TERRIBLE. Velveeta is 10times better. Next the green beans. Are you kidding me. They tasted like mushy water. Again NO FLAVOR throw in some bacon fat and chicken stock and for my god INVEST in some damn salt. Or at least some sort of seasoning. Pissed I spent $21 on a tasteless, dry meal. I don't know how they stay in business. read more

Food was 3.5 stars but friendly service makes it a 4 star. Their food truck stopped in the neighborhood so I figured I would check them out- ordered the brisket sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese for $15. Pros: Their brisket sandwich was delicious. What really made the sandwich was their bbq sauce, tangy sweet NC vinegar with a little heat on the aftertaste. I also appreciated that they served it to go with the bun separated from the meat by some paper so that the bun wouldn't get soggy in transit. Cons: The mac and cheese was simply lacking in flavor. I devoured the sandwich but didn't finish the mac. It probably didn't help that it was just sort of warm, not hot, so the cheese on top solidified and was less gooey the way I like mac. read more

Thank the heavens for this glorious food truck! I ordered the flounder, slaw, and rice and beans!! Sooooooo good!!! The flavor, perfectly cooked, hot, flaky and delicious!! Even the tartar sauce was on point! My hubby ordered the chicken quarter with mac & cheese and OH that heavenly BBQ sauce!! Sauce has a kick and just the right flavor of sweetness!! If I could, I would put it on anything! I ordered wings for the kiddos and they gobbled it ALL up!!! If you see this food truck anywhere, STOP!! Support a small business and eat there!! I think I have found my new favorite bbq! This place is AMAZING! Limited menu but each bbq item is delicious. The riblets are probably the best item there though. They also have fried chicken, smoked sausage, croaker and flounder. A few side items and a couple of desserts. If you want to try anything that has to be fried it has to be before 6, they cut the fryer off at 6 to give it time to cool off. Everyone should know about this place! This food truck came to my apartment during the whole COVID situation so not having to leave the complex was great. I got the quarter chicken dinner with Mac n Cheese and was very impressed. The chicken itself was phenomenal, great flavor and extremely tender! The Mac n Cheese was good as well, but nothing impressed me as much as the sauce! Good Brisket doesn't need sauce...get extra sauce from K & N. Got a mix of lean and fatty but believe it all to be from the flat. Nice smoke ring and decent smoke flavor but the meat overall isn't tender and on the dry side. Nice people, nice potato salad. read more

Just moved to the area and absolutely fell in love with this food truck BBQ. I highly recommend the Rib tips for anyone looking for a unique way to have a spare rib. They cut the rib into smaller pieces and load them into a to go container. Delicious!!! The girlfriend swears by the potato salad, and Cole Slaw. If your in the Moore Chapel area I highly recommend due to nothing quite like it in the are. Be back for sure! read more

Ok-- I tried the brisket and the fried corn, which is never had. I immediately asked to speak to the owner. Terry came out of the trailer and shook my hand. I asked him how long he's been working on this run recipe, and his answer was shocking. Some people have a TRUE GIFT. He could be retired, but he and his wife love serving the community so much they mixed it with their other favorite past time: BBQ! If you ever EVER spot this truck--sprint there!!!! Had the brisket sandwich, which cost 12 dollars by itself. Being a huge fan of brisket and food trucks in general, I was very excited... Unfortunately I was very let down. I was served three slices of brisket along with a hamburger bun and a cup of BBQ sauce. The brisket was chewy, and the flavor left a lot to be desired. The meat was fairly fatty as well. I ended up not eating 1/3 of my food which is a real shame because it cost so much and I generally LOVE brisket. Very disappointing. read more

Was excited to try the bbq when I was at the convenient store last summer. I didn't know I could review it until I ran across the name on Yelp. I spent well over $30 because I felt it would be delicious. I ordered riblets, brisket, and mac-n-cheese for myself and two other family members. I was very disappointed because the meat was dry and the mac-n-cheese tasted like it pretty much came from a box. We kept getting an after taste after eating some of the meat and the only conclusion my husband and I could come up with is that it was not smoked but cooked with liquid smoke. The taste and "burps" stay with us all night long. We hoped that we wouldn't wake up to that terrible taste. Thank goodness we didn't. Very disappointed in the food and taste. They need to definitely smoke the meats on an outdoor smoker and not put liquid smoke on it to make it seem it was. Also, they need a good mac-n-cheese recipie or at least put some cheddar in it or on top. It's been awhile since I saw the truck in the parking lot so it may be sales started declining in the area. The money I spent was not anywhere near being worth what I spent. Money down the drain!!! read more
