I was very disappointed with my experience during an evaluation visit at the Novato facility…read more My goal was simple: to give Harley, my 6-month-old male miniature doodle, an opportunity to meet and play with other dogs a couple of days a week. I dropped him off around 9:00 a.m. and was contacted around 11:00 a.m. and asked to pick him up. I was told that someone in the back had determined that Harley was not suitable for their program because he "did not participate with other dogs." The reception staff was professional and courteous when I dropped off and picked up Harley. However, I was very disappointed that I was not given the opportunity to speak with a qualified staff member who had actually observed Harley. I was told only that he did not "participate," but I received no explanation of what that meant, what they had observed, whether Harley was anxious, shy, simply uninterested, or whether there was some other concern. To my understanding, Harley was not causing problems or misbehaving; he simply was not participating with the other dogs during the evaluation. If that behavior made him unsuitable for the program, I would have appreciated a professional explanation and perhaps some guidance about whether or how that behavior could be addressed. I believe good communication is especially important when evaluating a young dog. I left feeling that the decision had been made without giving me enough information to understand what happened or how to help Harley. More information and the opportunity to speak with the person who evaluated him would have been greatly appreciated.

He is a high energy 55 lb dog so I didn't want my mom walking him. In mill valley, he was used to amazing leash free walks and hikes with other dogs so it felt like a huge downgrade for him to do short leashed walks on pavement in my mom's neighborhood. We were so fortunate to find Strutt your Mutt - sibelle and her team pick up my dog and he goes on leash free walks in nature (no concrete jungle), clearly having fun and playing with other dogs. He comes home happy and tired and he LOVES them, which as an owner gives me huge peace of mind. They are competitive on pricing, so warm and loving with the dogs, and have been there for me in emergencies when I needed them to take him for longer. They also do overnites. Sibelle and her team will work with you and your needs and is always so responsive by text. She often sends us beautiful happy pics of our boy running around and having fun in stunning locations. He is definitely spoiled with these walks. This is a huge step up from standard dog walking. If you care about your dog and want the best experience for your dog, I highly recommend!

MY DOG ALMOST DIED LAST FRIDAY FROM THE BACTERIAL PNEUMONIA…read moreSHE CONTRACTED AT THIS FACILITY. When I picked her up she was skin and bones and her eye was crusted shut. I'm talking 10 days of eye crust - no effort was made to remove. I thought her eyeball was missing because it was so covered in crust. The worst part about this situation is that I was available to pick her up FOUR days earlier had they alerted me to her declining health. Instead she was so skinny and SICK when I picked her up that she had to be hospitalized for the weekend. I essentially paid $1000 for them to board her to neglect her to now be responsible for a $8k vet bill. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT SEND YOUR BELOVED PETS TO THIS FACILITY. My dog is now home with a feeding tube and still very ill.
