Tim (the father) came to our house showed us many options to fit our budget. He understood our vision and delivered the perfect design for our new backyard with very high quality materials and attention to detail. Matthew (the son) and his crew were so respectful and hard working. They paid so much attention to details and worked long hours in order to get everything completed in time for a special occasion I was having. Thank you Tim & Matthew for transforming our embarrassing back yard into a relaxing private sanctuary on a tight budget.

Updated Review as of June 29, 2025…read more We have been trying to contact the company about the cracking in the back patio. They have not responded until I went to Yelp and requested a quote under a fictitious name. The cracking in the back patio creates uneven surface which is especially visible during the winter. They addressed it last year when they were doing our front steps by saying resealing the patio will make it look really nice. The patio only got worse. When they were pouring the back patio, they had to stop. Next day they came in with the jackhammers to take out half patio. I asked what was going on and it was explained that the concrete had too many rocks. Why would you only remove half the patio? The side of the patio that was pored with the new concrete has had no issues. If you want to see real reviews about how this company ghosts customers when the job is below par, check out the reviews for T/S Concrete. The owners changed the name of the company, but Tim and Sheila own both companies. The new company includes their son Matt.

Dan said what McHenry Heating and Excavating would do, and that is what Dan, Zack and John did. The deck demolition and removal project were done effectively, professionally, neatly, and cleaned up all in one day. It was great to have Dan, Zack, and John on site doing the project and each demonstrated how well-trained and skilled they are in what they do. We thank you for a job well done! Jolen & Ed G

He gave me a fair quote and even sent over references of previous clients. Plus he took care of interactions with other contractors for the well and septic system. He also pulled all of the permits. I got some pictures at the end showing a nice, flat plot of land. Very happy with the service.

Tom from Trees "R" Us, Inc. came out and the first thing he told me was that it was too late in the season to trim the big oak tree. I contacted him just now, in early spring, and he remembered the job, but wanted to come out an take another look. He did so and told me that the oak is still dormant and that he could do it. He scheduled me for the following week. His crew came out and trimmed all of my large trees. They had modern equipment and the right gear. They couldn't use their cherry-picker truck in the back due to my septic field, so they climbed and cut. Up front they were able to use the bucket. The crew did a superb job on all of the trees! When there were questions I had they were addressed immediately and professionally. The work was top-notch and so was the clean-up. All of the guys in the crew worked very well together and were all respectful and very nice! I highly recommend them! Nick Stein, Hawthorn Woods, IL

Our project was unconventional as we needed a shower fixture for a cinder block shower enclosure. Peter arrived with all the parts required to complete the job without interruption and most of the fixture assembly was done in the back of his "workshop like" truck bed eliminating a mess in our house. The finished product installed on the cinder block wall of the shower actually looks rather nice, considering this fixture is generally placed behind a wall, out of sight with only the shower head showing. I would not hesitate for a moment to recommend them to everyone, and for all of our future plumbing needs, planed or emergency, we will definitely be calling Burr Oak Plumbing.

He was punctual, professional, and very detail-oriented throughout the entire process. Raul recommended a long-lasting solution for my sinking pavers by pouring a solid concrete base, which gave me peace of mind that the work will hold up for years. On top of that, he went above and beyond by fixing other areas of my patio where the pavers were also starting to sink--something I didn't even ask for. At the end of each day, he took the time to explain what was done, what to expect next, and whether any follow-up was needed. That level of communication and care really stood out. If you're looking for someone skilled in paver installation, concrete, gardening, or patio work, I highly recommend Raul and Elite Springs.
