Been coming here for quite a while for tire service (mount and balance). For disclosure I like to buy tires online and have local install. Never really felt to get a price beforehand, as they've usually been fair on their prices. We'll, today I should've asked. Today I needed 4 dismount and remount with my provided new tires. I also asked them to check battery life on the tpms sensors. Got a call that 2 were dead. I approved to replaced all. That was where I f'd up. I got charged $620 to break down, remount 4 tires and replace 4 sensors. So that generally breaks down to 220 for tire mount service and 400 for 4 sensors. The work is always done correctly. But at $100 per sensor is absolutely insane when the tire is already removed for the new to be installed. The most expensive at O'Reilly is 140 for four sensors. I usually like to get kissed before I get f'd. Won't be coming back read more

Hello, I took my car to k&E tires in Cathedral city in Coachella Valley. I needed engine mounts. The car was very hard to drive and as a Lyft driver, I need the car to be smooth So I was willing to finance the $520 instead of doing it myself which I could've done. For free. Because I was providing the OEM top engine mount from Mazda and a cork sport professional racing bottom mount. But I needed it done quickly. So When I got the car back, the problem was fixed. I turned the car on the next day with the AC on. Then the engine violently shook. With the AC off no shaking. I suspect some damage was done to the AC compressor shaft. During the engine mount replacement. I took the car in a week later so they can fix this problem instead they told me that it was the engine mounts that they were just very stiff being new and all. I ask them to look at my car. So Charlie lightly launch the car and press the brakes at the same time to check the movement of the engine. I told him to turn on the AC and it was starting to shake right in front of us. He told me it was because the brand new engine mounts were very stiff. This is when his employee launch my car extremely hard and slammed on the brakes at the same time. Which ruined the brand new OEM top engine mount from Mazda. it also ruined the transmission mount. That's when the shop owner Charlie said whoa because the engine moved so violently. Also that day when I got my car back, the brake pedal almost sank all the way to the floor. Which it had never done before. I know they damaged My brand new OEM top engine mount and the transmission mount my brake system, and my AC condenser shaft. I told them to fix it, but Charlie just said Oh it's just the engine mounts. They're really stiff. After that day, the engine mounts were just as bad as when I brought the car in to fix this problem in the first place. Do not go to K&E Tire shop Cathedral city in Coachella Valley, California. Charlie's employees will damage your car and I could say this is true because I am an automotive master technician with four years of automotive schooling. I have taken all but one automotive classes at College of the Desert. I'm basically a doctor of cars. My car was basically new. It's only a 2014 it was a very nice car, but not anymore. Just take a look at the beautiful picture. It's very sad that it drives very bad now. Charlie the shop owner will not listen to you and this employees will break your car. He then proceeded to back a truck into the wall of one of the car bays. Every time K & E serviced my car on something relatively minor, immediately after their services I had a bigger problem than before they got their hands on my car!! This happened time after time until I decided to NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!!! I felt like these guys were my friends, however, they called themselves robbing me because my car is a high-end auto so they felt I had money. Disabled Veteran here. I went in for a slow leak. Carlos showed me the cracks in my tires from the extreme heat. He plugged the tire for $10.00. I talked to him about 4 new tires. He asked me if I live here year round and where do I drive (street/highway). He was HONEST and told me to buy 40K tires rather than the 70K tires because the extreme heat harms the tires regardless. I always bought the 60 to 70K tires but come to think of it, they lasted to around 45-50k miles. So $900 at Americas Tires 70k tires or $400 (includes balancing, free tire rotations, and warranty). Employees weren't wearing masks, but can't really single them out for that as that's a lot of auto shops right now. The used tires I ordered the first time were a little over five years old (recommended safe replacement time for any tires regardless of tread wear), they lost the valve stem caps, and one of the tires wasn't seated correctly. They're nice to customers, but still have shady practices and seem to try to take advantage of the customer not checking the year of the tires before installing them. read more

I was staying nearby for a weeks visit in the Palm Springs area. Upon arrival during my 500-mile drive, my vehicle's front-end was vibrating steering the car to the right. The right-side tire had a puncture on the sidewall wearing unevenly. To make matters worse, the left tire's steel belts were beginning to separate. To even think of driving back home on the steep Grapevine with a possible blow-out was enough to lose sleep over. The thought of injury even death, being stranded, and/or causing injury to others was more than I could take. Enter K an E Pro Tires. I called Charly to arrange for an appointment. We went over a pair of tires that was best suitable for my app. During the tire change, he checked for everything that I asked. for. i.e. checking my brakes, struts, rear tires, tie rod arms, etc... Within 30-minutes, I was out of there. My emergency situation was resolved. The tires were very reasonable with professional installation including new valve stems. The whole experience was pleasant and cordial. And I was very happy of the results. This is great business with honesty and integrity. A pleasure to do business with. We had a blowout on the passenger side outside tire of our used RV on it's maiden voyage (for us) on the I-10 just east of Date Palm Drive. Calls to other tire stores were unhelpful as we slowly drove south off that exit towards Ramon Road, and we made it to K&E Pro Tires. How grateful we are for their help! They examined all of the tires and brakes, and diagnosed our tires as all needing to be replaced (when Discount Tire at home said they were all fine!)
