Communication with the company is essentially nonexistent and I have reached out to handle this matter privately but he refuses to respond- The crew showed up 2 hours after the OWNER arranged the time for pack-out. They "didn't know" they were supposed to pack my things in boxes??? And said they couldn't move us because they didn't bring packing material. I tried to contact Jason via text and call (2x) and the crew called Jason as well. He would only communication with the crew and the only way this ever got discussed was because the crew ended up calling him on speaker phone with me there. Ultimately, the crew moved "what they could" and left everything else for us to move ourselves.... While still charging us the full price I was quoted. Being 7 months pregnant, I hired movers to make the process smooth and easy, and boy was it FAR from that. Again, I have reached out and asked Jason to discuss this experience with me and have heard nothing back from him.

Lack of attention to detail, did not remove the hardware from the doors prior to painting, did not tape off the frames of the glass paned areas. Also left damage and scratches to the glass on doors with a razor blade because they were not taped off properly. Also spilled paint on my deck which I was unable to clean off completely. To top it off, my bathroom was magically flooded after he left. I spent days after the job touching up the doors and clean up the mess left. I was new to the area when I hired this painter and I should of done more research. The stress and anguish was not worth it. The price was affordable but I guess you get what you pay for.

I booked LMS back in February 2026 to unpack a POD in May. I called probably 3x in between to…read moreverify things, and I'm so glad they didn't want to hang up on my nervous self. (This move has been a stressful one for me.) They called to confirm the night before, and on the morning of, my two gents (shout out to Ross and CJ!) showed up 30 mins early. EARLY! That's unheard of in this day and age. I was impressed!!!! It took these two about 3hrs to unload our 16ft POD. I wasn't aware, but they do a 10% military discount. (We paid cash to avoid the 3% card fee.) There was a $100 deposit at the time of booking, which came off our bill. And of course, we tipped--which they are allowed to accept. (Thanks Ken for being an amazing owner that allows that!) I HIGHLY RECOMMEND LMS for your moving needs. While this move was out of pocket for us, I hope that they're contracted with the military for our next (and FINAL, hallelujah) move. Ross and CJ, much love to you both. My mom has a couch she got from Furniture Distributors and we all love it so we figured we'd see if we could get the same one in a different color. I called the havelock location multiple times with no answer, so I called the morehead location. I spoke with Kassia Smith and told her we were looking for the voyager catnapper in slate gray in power and with a wedge. She said they had it, it was in stock, and her favorite couch. I asked her if they had it available in the havelock location since the morehead location was an hour away from us. She said havelock did have it in stock but she wished we would come to morehead because it was really slow that day and she could use the sale. In that moment, I didn't mind so much because she seemed nice it was like a breath of fresh air compared to what we dealt with at furniture fair. I told her we would be there in about an hour which would put us there around 5:45 and their store hours are until 7pm. We figured that would be plenty of time since we knew what we wanted and just wanted to see the color in person. We arrived right on time and were greeted by someone named Kit or Kip. He said Kassia was not there, she was out getting a birthday cake for a party and he was new so he couldn't really tell us anything. He didn't even know what we were there for. That was a huge slap in the face since we just drove an hour to get there when we were originally planning on going somewhere half an hour closer to us but she guilted us into going all the way there for her. We found the couch on our own since Kip/Kit didn't know anything about anything. We decided we liked it and were going to get it. Kassia was still not back yet so we decided to look around for bedroom furniture since we still needed that as well. She finally showed up. At the time she was still very nice but she was noticeably in a hurry and wanted to get the sale over with. We told her we wanted the couch and were interested in a bedroom set. Kip/Kit then came up to us and said she needed to leave in 15 minutes for a birthday party and she wouldn't have time to do everything. First of all, if she knew she had all these plans and wasn't staying until closing before the phone call, she shouldn't have pushed for us to come all the way there when she knew how far away we lived and that there was another location that was closer to us with the same items in stock. But my husband and I are very laid back and understanding people so we remained pleasant and proceeded with the purchase and told her we would come back another day for a bedroom set to accommodate her schedule. She rushed through the online portion of the paperwork (didn't go over anything with us other than the additional fees for the delivery and warranty) and left by 6:15pm. She left Kip/Kit alone there with us to finalize the sale and answer our questions. He made us perfectly aware that he was new and didn't have any idea what he was doing and that he had never even worked in sales before. He said she leaves him alone there all the time and it makes him very uncomfortable because he doesn't know what he's doing.We gave him the benefit of the doubt and trusted it would all work out. He said we were all good to go and the only thing he gave us was a delivery ticket and sent us on our way. When we got home we looked over the deliver ticket and got nervous because it didn't say power, the wedge wasn't listed on there at all, and there was a mysterious $499 charge for "installation". They had already closed by then but I spoke with Kip/Kit on Sunday to go over our concerns. He said yes it was all in power and the installation fee was the charge for the wedge. The delivery guy brought ONE couch yesterday, and of course, it was manual. We sent it back and called the store. She wasn't there again. She called today and got into a huge argument with me saying I never asked for power and I was wrong and needed to pay more money if I wanted power.
